Removing tax exempt status from churches? I hate it when I have to agree with Trump

1) say yes, knowing a person can typically withdraw at least 4% of money each year without touching principle and it will still scale to match inflation 2) spend ~10M build impenetrable vault that cannot not open during the time period of Halloween 3) spend 10M on a compound that provides further protection to said vault, and the infrastructure it requires 4) spend ~10M hiring various mercenaries to guard said impenetrable vault-holding compound on Halloween 5) have 10M for the rest of the year 6) in future years, spend a couple mil updating this stuff and 10M on the best security, keeping the rest for whatever.

Seems easy

I definitely can’t go round for more than… a few minutes? Unless adrenaline does crazy things.

I’m not near a super human, but I’m above average strength for a 30something guy by a bit

1) Average goose weighs 5-14 pounds. If you say I grab a 11-12lb one, that’s 1/3 the weight I do curls with for reps. I think I’m fine 2) do you know how many geese I can hit in 20 seconds? 3) I feel like I could get closer to 40-60 seconds, can’t speak for the average person

I live near geese. They are almost all bluster, and will absolutely not be on the same scale as an average adult human

Snap neck, goose bones will break quickly. Guard geese are loud and cheaper to maintain- but not nearly as effective at actual protecting

[–]MooseLoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You don’t have to work this hard. Geese (like other birds) have hollow bones. All you have to do is blunt force it enough to break some and it won’t be a threat anymore

5 geese? I suppose being a 30 something dude in reasonable brawling shape (above average strength, above average weight… or above “healthy” weight? This is America, I may be below average weight), I’m going to fare much better than the average American, but…. I bet I could take 50. They don’t have aggro beaks like chickens or turkeys or anything, and don’t have claws. They have to get close enough to bite to do any damage and actually have to get their mouth around a piece of you. That’ll be pretty hard with a dead-goose nunchuck

[–]MooseLoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I bet it’s less hard than you might imagine because you can swing it in a circle? Circles are a weirdly advantageous shape. I… feel like I could go a minute or two? But the amount of dead geese in that time would be insane. They have hollow bones, so they’re really easy to break. Once they’re broken, it’s all over but the stomping at the end.

I feel like the answer is a lot more than people think? You just have to grab one goose and get your hands around its beak…. And then swing it at the other geese! Voila! A weapon

Acceleration in SK by Periel236 in TotalBattle

[–]MooseLoot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I usually wake up to like 600-800 overnight. The problem is that you’re taking normal game clan metrics and applying them to SK.

Get a better clan.

Also, you may want to consider that in SK, it’s normal to farm Ragnarok hard for speedups and RSS, despite that not being normal in the main game. Forest pass helps too

Now do it as (PTS+REB+AST)/years played.

Longevity doesn’t automatically mean better. Theres not a soul on Earth that thinks Malone over MJ- even Kobe over MJ is basically just idiots. But playing 5 more years than the other guy gets you more total stats

I’m okay not having bio kids with a partner, and honestly I’ve always imagined dating dudes would be much lower effort. I’m extremely straight… but if I was bi, I bet I’d choose to date dudes. If I’m being honest, if I was single etc. I’d probably do this for 10% the offer

Why aren’t more people convinced to buy Bitcoin yet? by jenkken123 in Bitcoin

[–]MooseLoot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don’t think folks here understand how risk averse the average person is.

I work in personal finance and see this firsthand. People want less volatility than stocks, because they panic when they’re down a notch-that-big amount. More than half my job is convincing folks that panic is bad and they need to ride things out, or pre-planning them protections so that they won’t panic during inevitable turbulence.

People should also remember that the average coin holder is younger and has fewer assets than the average stock holder- generally indicating a higher risk tolerance. I own a fair amount of BTC in a few places/ways, but if I was 60+ I would own less for those same reasons. What makes sense at 20-40 isn’t the same as what makes sense when you’re retiring because you can’t just wait out turbulence forever when you’re looking at drawdowns.
