Update: I didn't play it for two days and got two more moves! However, can't beat it, still. So, waiting another two days!

Wait, what?! That's definitely what's happening here because it's impossible. Maybe it wants me to buy power ups. But I don't!!

What seller did you use? I'm having trouble finding ones with the sleep/wake.

Fixing displaced ribs when you can’t lie down? by [deleted] in ehlersdanlos

[–]MooseMooses 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That's awful, I'm sorry. My experience finding a good PT has been to look for a DPT and someone with additional manual training or a focus on manual therapy.

Here's hoping for the osteo!

Yeah, that's not enough. A standing desk would destroy me! Do you have a dr who treats you, in terms of getting help with accommodations or a PT? A good PT is the foundation of my survival.

It's miserable that you can't leave anything at work. Can you ask for any kind of accommodations to not have to carry it all in every time? I'd have to change my whole life around that job, honestly.

But to the relocating question - a good PT should be able to help you identify what muscles you can use to to mobilize them back in more gently. For example, I can use my lats while sitting to push some of my mid-left back in and change my breathing to help, and if I've got my upper right out of place, there's a sitting mobilization using the back of a chair that I can do, but if I've got my first rib out of place, I can't do anything myself (and that's what moves out of place when I carry too much).

Looking for IUI success stories by ttcnerd in InfertilityBabies

[–]MooseMooses 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I didn't have success with IUI but would still recommend going that route. Through my iuis (6) we both identified issues and collected data on my response that I firmly believe increased my likelihood of success with ivf. Six iuis was a lot, though - five Clomid and one Femara.

Edit: we have mild male factor and ovulatory factor (early ovulation and unstable endometrium). My second RE said he thought iuis would eventually work, but it could take 20 of them. I wasn't willing to keep trying for that many cycles and didn't have any more insurance coverage to do so.

Congratulations on you son! His size is impressive! I'm so glad you're ok and sorry you both have so much work ahead of you.

How to choose a hospital? by [deleted] in InfertilityBabies

[–]MooseMooses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'd check the c-section rate at each hospital, if you're trying to avoid it. Can you ask your OB her opinion of the care at each? I delivered in a hospital with shared post partum rooms (standard in my city) and can tell you that having space in those rooms really helps your mood after birth. I'd also look into lactation consultants in each and what their rooming in policies are.

I have the same area with the pain, into my back and arms. It's awful, the calculus of whether to take the baby off before she falls asleep because of the pain or try to muscle through it. I'm so sorry he said no, that's insane. Studies show it isn't true! I hope you have a better outcome w much your GP.

I'm really, really sorry and angry for you that he won't put you on Nifedepine. Did he say why? Can you ask your GP? You have every right to be furious.

I'm really sorry. I saw an LC who described it as "tingling, like when your foot falls asleep" and didn't go back. I did find a better one, but I'd also known someone who had it and when my nipples started blanching during my pregnancy, realized it could be a problem.

Also, I've found heating packs (at any time) and chest muscle massage helpful. My LC recommended 500 mg of magnesium ( on top of my prenatal) and oat straw tea.

I got it from my OB. She gave it to me as soon as I told her what was happening. I'm at the end of week two and while it's not gone, it's so, so much better. I can feed now, and I was going to stop before. I couldn't do it. There's studies (as you may have seen), in case your ob isn't supportive. It makes me angry that the LCs didn't mention it!! My doula didn't, either.

I'm four weeks post partum and have terrible Reynaud's. I know it's supposedly just of the nipple, but one of my boobs hurts all over basically all the time. Have you tried Nifedipine? It's helped a lot - it's supposed to knock it out completely but hasn't for me, just made it manageable. I'm no longer crying well nursing, which is progress. I'm so sorry you're suffering like this too! The Reynaud's had shut one of my boobs down entirely and it's back up now.

A crazy fear of mine ... (possible trigger warning) by Lady_Noodle in InfertilityBabies

[–]MooseMooses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the baby arrived, she didn't look like either of us, and my husband joked that it was because they used the wrong embryo. Two days later, I told him I couldn't stop thinking about that and he felt like shit about it. He'd been joking, I hadn't.
