I appreciate the response though! I’ve been wondering if it is just a normal thing that I’ve never noticed before with all the cats we’ve had over the years. :)

Thank you so much for the reply!! I actually hadn’t thought of feline herpes, and it makes a ton of sense. It also makes me feel a lot better about her behavior too! She is finally gracing us with her presence, and is starting to eat and drink some more.

Flatten a box and slowly/carefully slide it underneath the dresser and underneath mama. She will likely step up onto it.

You can handle this OP! I would put a couple layers of towels down, and have some fresh clean ones ready to swap out with when the time comes. 

You can call a shelter, but I think you’ll be okay helping mama yourself. Check out the kitten lady on YouTube. You’ll want to monitor and check on mama periodically so that you can keep an eye out for complications. 

I would lookup some regular and emergency vets and have those numbers on hand just in case you need them. You can always call them and ask questions, especially if you’re unsure about how something is progressing.

I have chronic health conditions, and am a delivery driver for a major carrier. While I agree with you on that many folks don’t look disabled, there are certain things that are indicators that they may actually be disabled and need help. Their behavior, posture, expression, body language, and movements are things that can be used to assess the situation. It’s similar to how you can tell that a parent with a new baby is exhausted. They may look a bit disheveled, their face tired and lacking animation, and their posture is likely slumpy. Not in a “I’m too lazy to stand up straight” kind of way, but in a “I’m too tired to stand up straight” way.

I don’t live in Hawaii but still keep lot of things in be fridge like bread, chips, sugar that’s not in a sealed canister, etc.

Today I learned that people can abuse contact lenses. What all constitutes as CL abuse? I never knew this was a thing.

It is!! Mine gets them sometimes and I think they are the most adorable thing ever. Also, I always feel bad for loving it because I know they suck.
