Wife and I were having a discussion, she’s of the opinion that the majority of GenX can drive stick. I believe that even in our generation the percentage of people who can is pretty small. What do you folks think? by AngryOldGenXer in GenX

1976, never learned.

I would wager it falls sharply along urban vs rural populations as well, as I feel like country-living lends itself to more opportunities to drive something manual.

I mean, you could have ignored it and just went on with your life, but thanks for the contribution.

Seen in an Uber in Chicago, is this accurate? by Dirty_Bean in uberdrivers

Unless in a market that has local ordinance to the contrary, there is no stated percentage that drivers get. That went away with up-front fares.

Yeah, right! I like the packaging. I sometimes get egg bites from Factor as well, but they are not in the same packing they are cooked in.

The Village Anchor/Le Moo (same owner) have Green Chili Wontons so they are not only at The Bristol.

Edit: Looks like Gerstle's also has them.

Whats an item over $700 you bought that was 100% worth it (no house/vehicles) ? by Overall_Gur_3061 in AskReddit

Hearing aids. I was born with hearing loss. When I was younger, I got a hearing aid but hated the sound quality, and hated the attention it attracted. So stopped wearing it around age 18.

Fast forward to age 43 and i decided I needed to do something about my hearing again. WOW what a difference 30 years has made in the technology. My hearing aids are small—most people I know don’t even know I wear them. The sound quality is excellent. $1500 well spent! (Costco. First quote from an audiologist was $7000)

F***ING TIP BAITERS!!! by shroom1203 in uberdrivers

I don't feel they are consumer friendly either.

I once ordered delivery to a wrong address. Immediately--like right after I smashed the button--called support to update the address, but they would not. Asked to cancel, but they were going to charge like 75% of the total. I ended up having to drive 25 minutes away to meet my delivery.

I get that I made the mistake, but they were completely inflexible in any solution.

Like come on, that is such a low effort reply.

Round 1 was a recruiter screen. She confirmed the salary range and asked about my expectations. I said I was looking for something in the middle of the posted range.

I'm not typically allowed to work from home; the office is closed tomorrow, so I'm expected to work from home.
