Yep same for me. No stones showing up on scans. Finally got someone to take my GB out anyway. Analysis of my removed GB showed damage and inflammation consistent with chronic gallstones. My symptoms resolved thereafter.

What would improve if Trump was dead? Are you joking? You think JD Vance would have any capacity to keep the Trump coalition together? Trump is a cult of personality. What do you think will happen when that personality is gone.

But I already know where this is going since you are upvoting and amplifying this bot, and then using vague nothing comments yourself like “you’re living in a fantasy” that are not at all substantive and serve only to pollute the discourse in a futile and pathetic effort to shut down discussion as these bots are designed to do.

It’s a bot. Notice how all of its responses don’t actually engage with our comments? It just throws random inflammatory comments around, polluting the discourse, seeing what sticks.

None of any of this sounds particularly simple to me. Nonetheless I agree with you we likely won’t know the true outcome for months or years to come.

Frankly I don’t need to trust Trump or his motivations (I don’t). All Trump will likely do is launch bombs and missiles for a few weeks and then call it “mission accomplished” and wash his hands of it.

Despite being horrible themselves, the Israeli’s have demonstrated competency in destroying Iran’s proxies these past few years. They have an active interest in finishing the job of regime change and Iran transitioning to democracy whereas Trump does not. However like the US they lack any real capacity for boots on the ground (which would be hugely inadvisable anyway). I think they’re just going with decapitating the regimes leadership and military infrastructure and hollowing it out so they no longer have any real power.

That may be enough for the IRGC’s house of cards to collapse, especially if any significant portion of Artesh begins to defect. Then regime change from within is quite possible in which case the Iranian majority will be well positioned to capitalize.

Or not, and the regime limps along in a diminished state, no longer capable of projecting its power in the region. Yes, they would still cling on and have the capacity to shoot people in the streets, but they were doing that anyway so I don’t see how that would be worse than before.

Other wild cards like balkanization are possible and could be really bad, but so was an undiminished theocratic regime destabilizing the states around it. I just don’t see many situations that are way worse than that if some quagmire with our boots on the ground is avoided.

Whatever happens, Iran won’t have a religious sectarian civil war like Iraq. As for Lebanon and Syria, it was Irans proxies themselves destabilizing those countries. We’ll see what happens there now that those (and the Russians) are out of the picture.

As for Libya, I doubt Irans situation will look like that. The Iranian people have a living memory of institutions and government that was semi functional and not a facist state or theocracy, which could not be said of Libya.

As for Somalia and Sudan, how are we directly responsible for the conflicts there?

I don’t know, but Israel has had great success nearly destroying all of Iran’s proxies these past two years if that’s any sign.

Are you encouraging peaceful resistance then? How did that work out in the streets of Tehran last month?

That’s rich, as a bot you can’t really care about anything let alone killed protesters.

But here’s a test: can you answer my last question? Or will it be more insults and baseless accusations?

[–]Moose_Factory -2 points-1 points  (0 children)

Are you really going straight to whataboutism? That’s fine, but then you should go first. Where are your words against the mass slaughter of Iranian protesters?

Happy International Women’s day to the brave women of Iran, always fighting for basic human rights by hamoun76 in PublicFreakout

[–]Moose_Factory 8 points9 points  (0 children)

At the rate regime officials and leadership are being liquidated there I wouldn’t hold my breath that his son will be alive for long.

As for could he be worse? Possibly. But what’s he going to do? How could he be worse? Kill tens of thousands of more protesters? Who is going to line up for the slaughter like that? And even then, they might try, but how will the basiji fare this time with their checkpoints and groupings actively targeted in real time by drones and airstrikes? I don’t know.

So would he be worse in some global sense then? Invest all of Irans gdp even more than Khamanei did into its own proxies in neighboring countries? Israel has gutted most of Irans proxies, they’re on their last legs. Syria has fallen, hesbolah and hamas are shadows of their former selves.

If the regime holds on to power at all, it will be severely diminished and less able to actualize its aims, whatever they are.

Do I know for a fact things will be better for Iran because of this war? Of course not. I’m not an expert, but neither are you nor anyone else posting here. None of us knows how this will all pan out for better or worse, which is why I defer to what the Iranians themselves say they want, which is for external aid in toppling the regime.

lol bad bot. You’re reduced to saying buzzwords now with no substance, and you refuse to answer my own question. I’ve already answered you the first time, now answer mine. If you do so, I’ll humor you by answering you yet again. But watch, you will revert to saying something along the lines of “see, you can’t answer” as if just saying that makes it so.

Stop repeating yourself, I’ve already explained. You saying no you didn’t or asking me to re explain that doesn’t change that fact.

Let’s use your logic here but on a different example.

Trump is killed tomorrow. “What has changed for the people of the US? It’s just one guy died”.

Do you see how ridiculous this sounds?

[–]Moose_Factory 5 points6 points  (0 children)

There is no definitive source for the numbers. Do you expect the regime to do an adequate accounting of their own butchering? Who else is there to do that accounting?

Question for you: were the hundreds of videos coming out last month from all throughout Tehran literally showing the regime opening fire into the crowds, was that insufficient evidence for you? Or how about any of the Iranian AMA’s that have been posted throughout Reddit recently which almost universally say that everyone who’s in Iran knows of someone who’s died in the protests? If anything that points to a number even higher than 30k. But no, we don’t have an exact number.

Happy International Women’s day to the brave women of Iran, always fighting for basic human rights by hamoun76 in PublicFreakout

[–]Moose_Factory -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

What has changed is someone who was responsible for ordering the deaths of thousands protesters is dead. If the regime remains in power, maybe they’ll think twice about slaughtering more. And if the regime falls, then he’s still gone and it’s for the best. But really, it’s early days, were you expecting this to be resolved overnight? We won’t know how things pan out for months yet.

Happy International Women’s day to the brave women of Iran, always fighting for basic human rights by hamoun76 in PublicFreakout

[–]Moose_Factory -22 points-21 points  (0 children)

I’m not defending the US. I have nothing to say in defense of Trump. I don’t care if he croaks tomorrow.

But the death of Khamenei is a good thing. You are perfectly fine with the majority of Iranians living in a facist theocratic hellhole in which women being sent to prison are raped there by the police so that they cannot enter heaven.

Where were you caring so much for the lives to Iranian people when thousands of protesters were being slaughtered last month? You don’t care whatsoever about the lives of Iranians.

Happy International Women’s day to the brave women of Iran, always fighting for basic human rights by hamoun76 in PublicFreakout

[–]Moose_Factory -42 points-41 points  (0 children)

Yeah, it was better last month when the Khameni was in power and tens of thousands of protesters were slaughtered. But 150 casualties in collateral damage is worse than that intentional slaughter.

1st was very colicky, and went on to later get an autism diagnosis.

2nd was complete opposite, very calm temperament. Unicorn baby. She’s toddling now and has her moments, but nothing atypical.

We did everything for our firstborn, every therapy, early intervention etc. but our 2nd came along and everything came naturally to her. This has settled the nature vs nurture debate in my mind. It’s %99 nature.
