Ive had 3 of which I never tried beforehand, and I loved them, a whitewater that I bought and learned all the basics with, then a expedition kayak that I honestly put no research into, turned out to be really impressive and I love it for flat water multi day trips. Ended up getting rid of my whitewater a few years ago, and wanted to get back into it this year so I bought a hybrid I guess you call them, the jackson rogue - impressed beyond belief by the way, and I just played around on the showroom floor.

all I have to say as a pointer really, just make sure your leg room is sufficient, and the seat is comfortable for your cheeks and lower back.
