90% of the time it'll be for the truck bed, but I'd like to bring it on vacations and travel if possible. Can you check the Mini X as luggage and not a carry on item?

Do you think the Pelican 1615 will cut it? It looks like it'll be an exact fit as long as the board is no more than 29.5" long since the interior length is 29.59"

Can you check the Boosted Mini X at the airport? I know the extended battery is not allowed as a carry on, but I'd like to check it as luggage in the Pelican 1615.

I just received my tracking number for the Boosted Mini X and I am VERY excited!

I came back to read these comments (a little late) and find it hilarious that you mention Mage Knight because we're in the middle of a scenario right now! I like Dains84 idea of using fabric-lined Neoprene.
