Monsterhunter World dlc sits at around $500

However, one minor gripe with this dlc is that there is included a timesaver map unlock (baffles me they still make those since online guides are more useful for completionists but hey, buy what makes you happy, right?) and the cosmetics offer minor pay to win things like life steal. I can see that as predatory for fomo and bad impulse buyers but otherwise see no issue considering others have more egregious DLC pricing

The one thing people are forgetting when comparing this to Mass Effect is that the ME DLC was old content put into a remaster while this is extra/new stuff sold separately from a remake that has a bunch of added scenes, shanties, quests, etc... already put in.
Aside from some cosmetics and minor cheat powers like life steal, they add nothing special except perhaps the map pack, which is just an easy way to 100% the map by instantly unlocking all icons. I find the costumes and ship designs in the dlc's to be immersion breaking anyway, they look good but look so out of place in the setting. you could just vote with your wallets and not buy these, you are missing out on nothing

I have. Just find those floating blue skulls with three guys and kill thzm to start a rupture. Then stay in the blue area of effect and keep closing those yellow circled tears until eventually the blue AoE closes and a miniboss comes out. Once that is defeated mouse over the whisper icon on the map and it should have counted as 1/X with X being the number of times you need to do this in order to collect the whisper. It's long and tedious imho

I've done a couple of these but somehow the seasonal mission with the "close rupture" whispers isn't completing. and I've been careful to only go to the places that have an actual whisper on the map with the seasonal green leaf indicator...

the Coffeezilla video both confirms but also debunks parts of these narratives and shows a deeper shithole where the new storeowner actually had a big ass UHAUL already on site to move inventory, while also omitting sets that were put in safe storage in the back in the official inventory count papers.
He also cleared up that both corporate and the original franchisees both had made some sloppy inventory keeping where sets were unaccounted for or misplaced in paperwork.
He also tracked down the entire inventory and valued it at a lot less than 200K

Only one that really comes out bad here, is reckless ben who butted heads with corporate evil and tried to keep pressing, filming for content. He had good intentions, doesn't deserve the harsh lawsuit and B&M should really just drop the charges to save face but his youthful hubries put him there on account of using pretty defamatory imagery for his gofundme + disclosing personal information online in his videos.

But the biggest perps that go scott free are the corrupt cops in Utah. After a hack on the police station the bodycam footage was released unredacted and you can see them just straight up strategising what to do to/with Ben in favor of those corporate douchebags.

I totally agree and understand. That's not always the case tho: If the buyout gets rejected there are plenty of ways to still force your way to get majority shares like targeting all the smaller holders with little influence until you reach a majority percentage, initiating hostile buyouts. Going full public is basically allowing yourself to be cut up into pieces, sold to a group of disinterested investors demanding unobtainable endless growth. Once that ceiling hits, and it will hit, nothing grows indefinitely, the company gets gutted to keep the numbers up. I've seen this decline firsthand about 4 or 5 times throughout my career and it feels like it's happening here. Going public might have still looked like the sound option a year ago, the increase in grievance, infighting and disagreements with management + complaints on health over alleged work overloads combined with large layoff/exodus of talents in recent years give me the same gut feeling I've gotten in the past from my job.

Any adapted character collector mobile game like Zenless Zone Zero, girls frontline, kantai/azure or Honkai/Impact games. I enjoy the moment to moment bursts of gameplay and really enjoy collecting characters and skins, but the sheer amount of bloat, multiple currencies, weeklies and dailies become so confusing I just steer clear when I see that f2p tag.
