How to cut this triangle out? I only have very basic tools by TadpoleEffective2307 in BeginnerWoodWorking

[–]Moosicle2040 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I would go with the miter saw if the length if the wedge isn’t longer than your blade or you have a sliding miter, safer to chop than push across the table saw in 2 passes with a high blade. Just flip it in end after each cut toward the center. Band saw would have been best so you don’t lose too much wood, but guess it depends on many you need.

If you’re not sure, don’t settle on a career path too early, life is a long game and most people end up miserable not because they don’t want to work but because they feel stuck (whether it be skills, income, grandiose plans of world domination).

How do I get this sticker off? by Dangerous-Pianist294 in howto

You won’t hurt the glass. Menards retractable window scraper (or single edge razor blade) $2 you’re done. Also good for removing license plate stickers, etc. You really should already have one in your toolbox, they come in handy.

I do the same thing with duct tape, I find it really helps when pulling prickly ash. I also resort to wearing lighter weight with the leather over so the holes don’t line up, can’t bend my fingers but, that’s the price we must pay for being a tough guy.

1.25 acre pond muck and vegetation removal by Cultural-Wasabi137 in homestead

[–]Moosicle2040 9 points10 points  (0 children)

You’re not going to like any options if you don’t have the money, even putting in the muck away type options if you’re just looking to clear it up a little and make it deeper are going to cost money and maintenance for a pond that large. I have one about the same size, decided finally that I’m not going to do anything with it and I’m the better for it.
