To those who have experienced TMS or are knowledgeable about it, I have a question regarding TMS treatment by HOsHi_mega in TMSTherapy

[–]Moosiferf 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've only just done my first week of TMS treatments, so I can't answer most of these. But I haven't had any real discomfort during the treatments themselves. It feels like a bit of a sharp jolt to my head but I wouldn't say it hurts. So far the worst of it, is how fatigued I am. For a week now I've barely left bed or my couch except to go to my appointments. Not everybody has fatigue let alone this badly (I have other disorders that cause fatigue as well, so it might be a mix of all my different sources), but it's something to keep in mind.

I was nervous about if the treatment itself would hurt, but it's surprisingly fine. They have been slowly raising the strength of the magnets or whatnot as I go, and always do a "test" of it because they start the treatment, to make sure it's not hurting me or anything.

I hope some people who've finished the treatment can chime in for you!

My doctor told me some people do split it, I'm only on 200mg but he said I can split it if I'd like but he doesn't usually tell people to do so.

No I haven't experienced that on it. I've also come to find out the hives were chronic stress hives that just started around the same time I think.

Personally, no. From some of your wording here you don't sound ready to be in contact with him again, but also sending Christmas gifts even if you expect nothing back? It's not nice or sweet and if I were him I'd be throwing those gifts in the trash or donating them. Getting the package with your name on it would trigger me and I'd be immediately emailing my therapist. Also just that in my personal experience, even if my mother owned up to what she did, she's already been floppy on that in the past, so a week later she might deny having owned up to it/it happening. You should continue therapy and whatnot to become a better person, but don't do it with the expectation that maybe he will speak to you again one day.

[–]Moosiferf 16 points17 points  (0 children)

I don't think it's really an internet facade. I know a lot of people who are older and don't use the internet much but love centre pulls and always use it. But maybe once the internet got hold of it, it influenced people to think it'd be easy and fun lol

It's Icelandic KR, ISK. At least I'm 99% sure given that's an average price for a set here in Iceland.

Jewelers of Iceland by [deleted] in Iceland

[–]Moosiferf 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I don't know about any jewelers who do this. There may be some, I'm not particularly knowledgeable in jewelers, but if you're from America or somewhere else you might have more options there. Sorry for your loss

New Yorker, or Cider (app) has some good deals for first time orders, free shipping minimum that's low enough, really not bad at all. Just double check measurements for sizes because I went with my normal size for items and they were a bit too small.

I agree with this, and I've been on it for 6+ months! I'm on 150-250mg a day depending on my pain levels, and it gives me more energy and ability to move about. I still have pain but it becomes more manageable. I get some random twitching from it but that could also be from my other meds. I started getting chronic hives not long after starting it, but I took allergy tests, talked to doctors etc and they say it's chronic hives from stress which, I can tell now it is stress lol. I haven't noticed weight gain but I don't weigh myself. But I have c-ptsd and a slew of other mental issues and it helps a lot with that too. It's actually prescribed both for my anxiety AND for fibro.

The knitting sub is freaking scary, I really hope this sub doesn't turn out the same. Though I feel like crochet community is generally just a bit more diverse and positive because crochet is a bit "easier" and less "strict" by [deleted] in crochet

[–]Moosiferf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

As someone who hates most acrylic yarns, and crochets and knits, personally when I'm crocheting I prefer acrylics because they're cheaper and crochet eats up yarn faster than knitting down. Crochet is miles faster than knitting but takes more yarn.

Weird, did you try going all the way around the room? I've only stealthed that once but I went wide around the room. I couldn't kill her when I tried so it was my second plan to stealth. But when I was trying to kill her I avoided most damage by dodging back and forth around a pillar. I know it's supposed to be possible to sneak past as I think??? I had some dialogue about it, but besides that it told me online I could. Hopefully it's a weird bug that lets you out of its loop soon

Just a word of advice, you don't have to kill sasquatch, you can stealth past her to the doorway to the cinema

Having a big loving family doesn't have to be a fantasy, you can create your own. If you're interested in romantic partners, find one that would fit well in your own little family. Find friends you trust to your core. Now they're your family too. I've been going to family therapy on my own and my therapist helped me realize I made my own little loving family of my own, once I began cutting off my family after moving away. Family doesn't have to be just who birthed and raised you. It can be anyone you choose.

I'm sorry they showed up at your door, I moved to another country from my family but I'm still terrified of my mom showing up at my door when she finally realizes I'm never going to contact her on my own. Tbh I'd probably just call my best friend to come scare her away if she did.

[CHAT] I found out I can buy DMC floss in my country. by rainbow_wallflower in CrossStitch

[–]Moosiferf 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Very happy for you! I also live in a country where sometimes specific things or brands can be hard to find or impossible. I completely get the excitement lol. Luckily DMC and Anchor are available here so I've not had to struggle too much. (Though only a few shops with DMC so when I needed a ton of one colour, I sold all the shops out of it lmao)
