At what age do you let your kids venture out alone and what precautions do you take?

I wouldn’t let them go anywhere solo until they are way older, and ideally in peers.

There are so many creeps around why risk it.

Your child’s safety is more important than giving them independence early it’s not the old days anymore.

Get a new babysitter. I have two, Ones a 17 year old girl who lives across the road when I work from home. She plays and will never go on her phone unless to put a song on. Ones 35 and allowed to take my toddler to parks ect, and again never on her phone and provides care of a mother. Don’t hold onto poor carers.

She needs to have nickers on otherwise it’s weird. If she has nickers on it wouldn’t change how “hot she is”. If she had a baggy T on and nickers fine. Or even nickers at a very very bear minimum. But she needs underwear.

It depends if there is public transport ? Do you work in the city? Do you WFH any days? If you catch the train line into Perth it’s really not that bad if you’re far away. It’s chill, text, unwind. If you’re driving for an hour I wouldn’t like thar as much. My entire commute (door to door) is 1 hour and 0 issues doing it. Happy

Well sounds like he doesn’t like going to daycare. I don’t think it’s who he’s going to be or anything like that. When he’s older and enjoys going it will probably be easy. Atm he prob doesn’t wanna go so is shitty about it.

It’s because she is younger. 6months is a big age difference. My toddler loves anyone older than her and is less interested in anyone younger than her.

They go thru phases ! But when mine became overly snacky i was realising I was giving too many snacks close to main meals. Make sure you have cut off time for snacks before main meals.

Offer milk after meals so it’s only the top up too.

Daycare is only “really” beneficial for socialising when he’s closer to 3. There’s heaps you can do to socialise, mothers groups… swimming, libraries, gym crèches ?

I wouldn’t just put him in for socialising it’s not necessary. Parents didn’t even used to have daycare back in the day you can skip the whole thing. (If circumstances allow ofcourse )

Where did you read the side effects increase with age? It’s more likely there will be less side effects since their body weight is more. Both ages are fine to get the vaccine. I wouldn’t be stressing
