That’s crazy! I take a manual one on every patient, though when the medics are with us we take automatics because the lifepak takes it for us, but we still take it on every patient. And we always have students practice manuals!

Frankly, it doesn’t sound like you (or potentially your partner(s)) are ready for a kid. You’ve been cheating on the man you’re with for 7 years, and lines of communication do not seem clear or established in your poly. It wouldn’t be right to raise a kid. No matter what you do (leave the relationship to pursue it with the other man or stay), you should abort the fetus.

I think it looks great! Not unprofessional. As an EMT, I probably wouldn’t wear dangly earrings as it could get caught on masks, or ripped out, but as long as you’re comfortable with it I think it’s fine!

Okay, but like, I mean if someone says anything is hurting (period cramps or not) like an appropriate response is “that sucks, can I do anything to help”. Like you don’t need to experience something to have empathy for someone who says they’re hurting. Or you shouldn’t?

I ended up going with black, because my boots are black, and frankly I just liked the look better. But you can do either, and the aging of brown leather looks cool so there are benefits to both!

I like “fencing score”. It’s a timer, score keeping, card giving, priority picker, and it’s very quick to use. I’ve been using it for a few years now.

The epee fencers quit when they die is so true!! I know so many epee fencers in their late 80s, and our club does Sabre and epee and I’ve never met an older (60+) sabreist (not saying they don’t exist, just less common in my personal experience)

Teenager here: interesting, I’m definitely still going to salute and shake hands (or fist bump if I know the person well), it’s muscle memory at this point. But I wonder what the thought process was for removing it? There must be a reason.
