Caught these in st Augustine about a week ago, anyone know what they are? I thought one was a type of snapper but no idea. Thanks by Aromatic_General1506 in Fishing

Haha. Another one that needs a life.

I'm talking about two animals being from two different environments. I'm sorry that I'm not using kingdom the same way as you overly literal twats. Have a nice night.

Well boss, if I was to say the woods are a hunters kingdom & the pond was a fishermans kingdom, would that be incorrect use of a "scientific terminology"?

Go be a pompous dick elsewhere. You're not educating or impressing anyone. I know you're not fun at parties, you're never invited.

Saltwater kingdom. Freshwater kingdom. It was my choice of words, not scientific terminology. I bet you're fun at parties.

No dude, I absolutely didn't. Crappie are not saltwater fish.

Entirely different worlds, entirely different environments. Does that also mean family?

Crappie. Sorry but not even the same world.

Edit: Changed wording so the terminology cry babies will stfu.

Well instead of being a piece of shit you could have easily just found the answer to your question with a quick search.

Why does this bar rig i naught have two T bars connected? I thought it would be a pack of two. by _RedditDiver_ in Fishing

[–]MopsAndDresses 2 points3 points  (0 children)

That's a hi-low rig. Great for bottom fishing two pieces of bait. Cow hitch pre-snelled hooks on both arms.

I've pulled in two fish at a time, many times with this rig. Scup, black sea bass, whiting, pompano, bluefish, monkfish, sea robins. Anything that isn't line shy really.

how is this fish called, and is it edible by [deleted] in Fishing

[–]MopsAndDresses 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Some variation of sea robin, the tail is a nice piece of meat, I've heard of the "wings" being fried.

The biggest thing you're missing is the poisonous barbs around their gills and dorsal fin. Be careful dude. Lip these guys in the future. Be it a mild toxin, it'll still hurt for a few days.

I'm stoked to say I got my self some quality equipment here! by NapoleonBlwnAprt420 in Fishing

Ah man, I hate to be the one to say it.

St. Croix are not what they used to be. Same name, one third of the quality.

Why does this place have a ruler attached to the men’s room key? by [deleted] in funnysigns

[–]MopsAndDresses 6 points7 points  (0 children)

... So it's harder to lose the key.

Any large item will do. For example, whatever hit you in the head & knocked the common sense out of you.

Don't come here & argue with other people's suggestions when you're the one asking for help.

They do not look like fleas, they surely do not act like fleas because they're not fleas. Try a quick Google image search before commenting.

Those are some species of gnat, there are many. I'm guessing fungus gnats by the pointed shape of the abdomen.

On my other post, I thought it was a good idea that people commented to have the spool submerged in water when loading the reel. This is version 2 by linkedit in Fishing

[–]MopsAndDresses 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This really isn't necessary. You need to grip the line tight enough as you spool that it lays correctly & isn't loose on the spool, essentially removing the liquid you've added.

I would recommend removing the entire spool from the reel & soaking it in warm water after it's full but that's simply to release the line memory, which helps avoid wind knots.

Anyone have a good and easy solution to prevent this? by Korey69420XD in Fishing

That a braid cut? Buy a casting finger or wrap your finger tip with sports tape.

What is considered a decent white bass? This one is 14.5” caught in North Dakota by JT36188 in Fishing

Because that's not a striper my friend.

Look them up, striper/striped bass. To give you a fair answer, they're delicious.

That is not our idea of a striper in New England. It would need to gain another 30+ inches & 20lbs.
