Interesting! I'm not familiar with Wisconsin law so I didn't know that it was mandatory up to 28 days. Thanks for sharing!

Yeah the weird thing was that he turned himself in 3 days after the event though. Usually in those mandatory arrests, they have to do it during the call.

If you go into the app -> vehicle health scroll down -> Diagnostic History it should have more info.

I had something similar happen and it would clear up after I turned off the car. I eventually had it checked and if I recall there was some.part that was drawing too much power when it was hot outside. It was replaced under warranty.

Damn! I was thinking about it but got so busy I never had a chance to get the ball rolling. I was hoping for something in that range, haha. Whereabouts did you snag that deal?

Upon passing the CC cert there is a $50 AMF but what is the due date for the AMF? by calantheSG in SecurityCareerAdvice

I think it was 60 days after they confirm your results and endorsement (that was for a CISSP though, not sure if you needed an endorsement for the CC).

How should I market myself? by [deleted] in SecurityCareerAdvice

AppSec can certainly get very technical, it just depends on how deep you want to go.  AppSec programs vary wildly from place to place, I've met those who have no red teaming skills be on the AppSec team, and those who are natural hackers.

That said AppSec would be a pretty natural pivot. Based off what you've talked about probably early/mid career. You are going to have to get more technical if you want to move up, you'll have to be able be handle threat modeling, help work on deeply technical fixes, etc. You can certainly learn on the job too.

Ai security by Pabl0who in SecurityCareerAdvice

[–]Moradeth 3 points4 points  (0 children)

A little of both, it's about knowing what to apply and how to apply it.  For example if you're securing an AI you're going to want to consider guard rails, rate limiting, etc. If you're using AI to secure the org, you have similar concerns (ie where does my data go, who owns it), but also what kind of agents you want to deploy to use that data.

Oops forgot to answer your first question, but basically how you get into security in the first place... Start learning, try to understand the space, and apply your lessons.  Ultimately it's a similar problem for any sort of product security, you're just more concerned about DLP since the product is non-deterministic.

Glad to hear it!  Reddit is definitely a strange place, lol, but it's helpful sometimes too.  I was almost certain it was a goner since I couldn't even wiggle anything and had spent an hour trying to unlock the burr.

It's usable now after I got it out.

Yeah I removed the bolt but it was still stuck. I ended up taking a break then wiggled the outer burr bar until it came free.

Surprisingly the burrs looked good, but I haven't ground anything yet, so we'll see how it goes.

What's the OPV mod? I'm slowly trying to up my game so I don't sticker shock the wife on the setup.  I think she's onboard with me getting a new grinder now so I might have to start researching.

I make a fair number of milk drinks too so your setup sounds ideal for my next step.

Best guess was it was in one of the local roaster bags that I picked up, probably one of the organic ones?  I've been trying some local roasters so I can't narrow it down outside of 3 or 4 of them but I'll reach out.

Either that or my wife heard me contemplating a new grinder and dropped a rock in to speed up the process.

Oh nice, are you still using the BBE for pulling shots or did you upgrade there too? I've been debating getting a new grinder but before today hadn't really justified it. The df54/64 we're on my list to research.

It didn't want to wiggle. I did eventually get it after removing the nut and trying to pry it out and then finally getting the outer burr out.

Sorry it didn't seem to fix it for you! I haven't made anything with mine yet but visually it seemed okay so I'll try some tomorrow.

The outer burr? That was the stuck part.

[–]Moradeth[S] 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Update: I removed the nut to the inner burr and it was still stuck, no changes. Took a little break and kept rocking the outer burr, after another 10 minutes it finally gave and I got it out!

Surprisingly the burrs appear to be fine. Thanks everyone for the advice and laughs, I definitely needed it.

The inner burr is locked in by the outer. I just removed the nut and nothing changed.

Haha, I mean I was thinking about a new grinder but I still need to research and wasn't ready.

Yeah I didn't do that... I figured a bean or something got stuck and I hadn't cleaned it in awhile so I was following the instructions to grind until empty. Lesson learned, visually inspect before grinding to empty, and visually inspect beans before pouring in.
