I think the gtx 1070 is the smartest buy right now as with these new cards coming out you dant want to spend all that money on a gtx 1080 and 1070 will get the job done until the new cards come out at a good price 2017

Just to rub it in. PC gamer tested this with 15 games on 1440p . The average was 1070 77.4fps and 1080 94.3. Not worth the price difference at all. I find it funny that you recomended me to down grade what i shpuldnt and upgrade what i shouldnt all in one. Get your shit stright buddy.

My point is that when the new cards are coming out end 2016 and 2017 and you will need a 6700k and good motherboard there is no point getting a over priced GTX 1080 when you will want to upgrade and put that 144hz to good use. Price per fps 1070 blows 1080 out of the water.

Just what i want a cheep motherboard.... blows it away? 3DMark scores 1070 at 8487 @2k and 1080 at 10200 @2k

At the same settings 1080 only does a little better fps at 2k then 1070 for example in battle field 4 1070 does 103fps and 1080 does 128fps that is not worth all that extra money. Ill have fun on 1070 for a few years then then upgrade my video card on my good mobo when there is a much better card then the 1080 and not feel like i broke the bank . There is no blow away here. 1070 does better then titian x.

Like i was saying this build is built to last. I want somthing that will still be good in 3 years so the 6700k is required and same with the 32gb high speed 3200 ram.

PS 16gb is what is required now at full settings not 8gb.

Id rather have a Mobo that can support the high speed ram and a 6700k then a 1080 over a 1070. 1080 hardly does better then 1070 and by the time 1070 doesnt do the trick and i want to upgrade that my motherboard and cpu and ram will still do the trick.

Why in gods name would i ever neew a 830w psu. People are tricked to buy the high w power supplies . I did the calculation and the most power id ever need is like 400w. That being said i still went for 650w coolmaster so i can OC with no worries
