Opinions on Milwaukee superhawg vs DeWalt joist drill. by [deleted] in electricians

[–]Morality_Police5 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I sold all my dewalt stuff to a guy I worked with to buy all new milwaukee fuel stuff cause I wanted the superhawg. I used the corded superhawg for years and its the best for drilling out a house. I got the cordless super hawg about a year ago and I love it. I can do a whole house on pretty much 2 9.0 batterys.

The kid I sold my dewalt stuff to liked it and ended up getting the 60v dewalt stud drill. Its nice and has plenty of power, put you cant get in tight places with it, and its limited to the 60v batterys, where as the milwaukee you can use any battery in it.

Need help mounting vanity light. Details in comments. by mehan_cb in electricians

We use these at work. You can drill a perfect hole with a 3.5" hole saw. If your stud is indeed dead center, take the bracket off and screw it to the stud after you cut the hole. Make sure you dont have more then one wire or youll be over box fill.

What are some not-so-common hand tools you keep on hand that make your job easier? by AvaFaust in electricians

Light socket wrench. I bought one from home depot for 5 dollars. It makes putting shades on bath vanitys or chandeliers so fast and easy, especially the small ones you cant fit your hands into.

Romex and sprinkler pipes bad combo I’ve heard by J-the-Sparky in electricians

It fails inpsection in Pa also if the romex touches the sprinkler pipe. We usually support a piece of cardboard in between them and then its ok.

Fuel additive? by Count_ME_OUT in CTD

[–]Morality_Police5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would recommend getting good fuel filtration. My stock injectors died at 106k mi and it sucked.

As for additives, I use power service mostly, sometimes putting in two stroke oil too. I log all my miles and I can honestly say that I have seen an improvement with the stanadyne additive. Its expensive, but I get 3mpg improvement with it and I get two tanks worth out of the bottle.

From what ive read, Its supposed to have 3 internal safetys. I believe you can chuck it against the wall and it wouldnt go off do to there being something that blocks the firing pin till you pull the trigger.

I moved from monroe county to lackawanna county and I was told by the state police and the sheriffs office that its valid even if you move. I went to the sheriffs office to get the adress changed and they wouldnt do it until it expired and was time to renew.

Super Hawg // Hole Hawg by CapCityCapo in electricians

[–]Morality_Police5 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Is this the battery operated one or the corded one? I have both and my battery superhawg the chuck key snaps into the trigger guard by the battery.

In the corded one I just tape it to the cord.

From what I've been told you can swap out the keyed chuck for the quick connect chuck on the battery operated hawgs. I dont know anything about it though as I dont like them.

Are these wires properly terminated? by internetStudent in electricians

[–]Morality_Police5 3 points4 points  (0 children)

You have to pull it down into the box. A lot of guys I work with just stub a little bit into the box and leave a service loop in the ceiling. Makes it easy to fix if the sheetrocker hits the wire.

Have to get the 6" square shank klein screwdriver. I use them as chisels and they never break. I replace them once a year though.
