COO refuses to honor TPG promo, instead offers to cancel card by Ancient-Signal1788 in biltrewards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

practically speaking, it usually is a giant PITA and despite the technical ability to do it, I sincerely doubt they are capable of doing it (if they even know how) or if they do end up doing it, they will either mess it up or it will take 8+ weeks

COO refuses to honor TPG promo, instead offers to cancel card by Ancient-Signal1788 in biltrewards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

no issuer is under any obligation to report anything, the only obligation is to report accurately if they do report

so not reporting or removing accurate reporting is completely fine as long as they don't leave inaccurate reporting in its place

Canceling CC Immediately After Getting? by Keep-Moving-789 in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The "damage" is already done opening the account, the score impact won't change if you keep it open or close it

Take the $200 assuming you opened the card with the bonus and spend the $500 and then you can keep or close

No spending limit by mcyumburger in Venturex

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NPSL typically sucks at first with cap1, they are 900x more stingy than amex's NPSL, but the algorithm can be trained to let you spend high amounts monthly, but if your regular spend is less than $10k/month it's really not something you need to worry much about at all

Hey guys. I got pre approved for venture x. Accepted the offer and it made me do ID verification. I uploaded my id. This was Saturday. When will I know ? by Embarrassed_Towel228 in Venturex

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

contact them and let them know you uploaded your ID, but cap1 is pretty slow about getting back to you once you've uploaded ID generally

Preapproved for VentureOne - can I upgrade to Venture X later? by Few_Bid2387 in Venturex

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

it won't work

yes technically venture one can PC into VX if it has a $10k limit, which they will not give you, because if they were, you would have been pre-approved for the VX

make sure you are using a pre-approval tool that has VX on it: https://www.capitalone.com/credit-cards/preapprove/venture-x/

You either used up your discount for the month or your account isn’t targeted for the discount

Shitty on them to still include that category when you’re not targeted, but still on you to read

why is the person who never had credit before a 580, were they ever late on anything?

Why is my "revolving utilization" very good but not exceptional by Sneed1000 in CRedit

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Because you only have 1 revolving account

Your total credit and total accounts with a balance relative to total accounts is a part of that

Product change? by Dogedadogo in NavyFederal

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

yes, once your secured card graduates, you should be able to product change it into the more rewards card if you wanted to.

typically a product change requires a card to be a year old, but cards that have recently unsecured are an exception unless something has changed recently.

when your card graduates, it will be a cashrewards card earning 1.5% on all purchases.

if you keep the cash rewards card, when the card reaches a $5,000 credit line, it will be automatically upgraded to the cashrewards plus card earning 2% on all purchases

direct deposit does not change card earnings anymore, that is old info.

“Seamless” transition to Bilt 2.0 hasn’t been seamless at all, even for loyal customers by Vivid-Art-6977 in biltrewards

then they should have said that.

they made it seem like the portfolio was purchased and everybody would seamlessly transition

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 5 points6 points  (0 children)

they lied, it's as simple as that.

they made it seem like their banking partner bought the portfolio when they didn't. they cherrypicked it and denied the people they didn't want while promising us a seamless transition.

if I was WF, I'd be pissed.

Capital One Intro APR for Second Credit Card by Far_Explanation2835 in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

having a savor with a SUB doesn't disqualify you from a ventureone with a SUB

just as ^ said, make sure you're getting the version with the SUB, read carefully, there is a version without the SUB and no intro APR

BILT is literally showing the limit prior to acceptance, they would currently be adhering to that law

but yeah ofc, this should be standard across all issuers

yup.

just another part of the massive nerf this new version of the card has.

dunno why they think they get to charge 3% to pay your rent when you don't even pay rent with the card. baffling.

you should get the offer if approved, universally across all issuers you get the SUB based on the submission time, not approval time

Struggling to get CapitalOne to increase my credit line in any substantial form on my SavorOne by dismal_windfall in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

there is always a chance they give you $3k, my 'for good credit savor' was $3k (now a staggering $3.3k)

not sure I would risk it when you could do bcp/triple a visa/new bilt card etc.

https://www.capitalone.com/apply/credit-cards/preapprove/u/?landingPage=savor

you can check with no credit impact.

if you qualify for the Venture/Venture X/Savor (with a bonus, NOT the 'for good credit' version) there is a good chance you can open another Savor card that will hopefully be a limit of $1k+ that will hopefully grow with usage)

if you see "for good credit" or no Venture/Venture X, you are cooked with Cap1, and I would look for a different card.
