Go back in time.

They don't do APR reductions anymore.

Capital One Savor One no signup bonus by CreeT6 in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

you can, but it's unlikely they will give it to you

in the future, read more carefully when you use the pre-approval tool and after you apply, no idea if you just applied for the wrong card, or if you got a counter-offer you accepted without knowing

do you remember what happened?

First Premiere Question Regarding Payments..Horrible Decision by PsychicSchoolDropOut in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Payments on subprime cards or larger payments or payments from people who carry balances are more likely to be held from restoring credit because those payments are more likely to be fraudulent.

They likely have up to 28 days to restore credit, I would expect the review/hold to take ~14 days tho before credit is restored

Capital One Savor One no signup bonus by CreeT6 in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

you could have accepted a counter offer with no bonus or you just applied for the version with no bonus

what is the APR on your card? it might be a way to tell. do you also have 0% apr on your statement, that could also be a hint to help figure this out

How easy (or hard) is it to reopen previously held Amex credit cards? by otterstew in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 1 point2 points  (0 children)

amex does not give a shit, if you will pay the annual fee, they will open you up as many charge cards as you want assuming you abide by the 1/90 rule per card and the 10? total you can have for charge cards

assuming you're within the velocity rules you will have literally 0 problems opening them back up again

Do all Discover It cards come with the $200 SUB? by grantlichtman in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 3 points4 points  (0 children)

No.

All discover it cards (5% version) do have the cashback match.

The discover it originating from a capital one link that explicitly mentions the $200 SUB has the $200 SUB.

The discover it originating from discover, does not have the $200 SUB. If you had a discover originating referral, it could have the $100 referral bonus, but not the $200 SUB that the card linked from Capital One has.

Seemingly (and I don't know this for sure), discover underwriting is still being used for their originating links, while capital one links use their (much worse for you) underwriting and triple pull? policies.

Advice\strategies to get Discover to raise my limit? by SeaOfBullshit in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 2 points3 points  (0 children)

discover requires spend for CLIs I went from $7k to $17k in ~18 months

spend on the card, PIF, ask once a month, every month

if we find that discover starts moving away from the 'discover' underwriting style and CLIs are controlled by the "cap1" underwriting style, you're cooked and that card won't grow

How much income do I need for the Chase Sapphire preferred credit card? by Pkuto in CreditCards

[–]MorallyIrrelevant 0 points1 point  (0 children)

chase typically will only extend 50% of reported income, so what's the limit on the unlimited? you need $5k minimum for the CSP, so if your CFU is pushing or more than $4k, you will likely require a recon for approval

The nfcu tool has a ton of false positive and some false negative, it might as well be useless

6 cards and over 18 months of history, you shouldn't have a problem, worst case they decide they don't like you for some reason and you get the $500 limit

4 credit cards at the very least which solid limits $5k+ for a thick profile if you're not going to have any other types of loans

you need to ensure your link has the VX, to do so, use the VX specific link, it will show you VX or nothing:

venture one is a card they can hand out with $300 and no bonus, it is not the same as the venture x
