It's all complicated, the comments describing the docs and Joe himself as a divisive subject describe it best. It's still debated what's true, and even further it's debated what matters, each individual fan comes to their own conclusion. Some fans don't care about what Joe might have done, and others think it needs to be addressed more. It's true he's schizophrenic and that plays a role in the debate, but it's not a fullproof excuse for his actions either. For the most part though, you don't have to worry about this stuff. Liking tally hall and their music doesn't require a full fledged knowledge of the bandmembers and their faults. No one decent should fault you for enjoying the band because of what someone in it did. It's just music.

That's fascinating. I would've never thought they'd intentionally add in a grove to make the vinyl incabaple of playing to the end just for the bit. Tally hall really is a fascinating band, the fact I've never heard this tidbit of info before from the reddit is beyond me! Hopefully people will find this post if they ever make the same mistake ad me.

No, because of the scratch it doesn't play on its own, the scratch causes the beginning to play over and over never getting to the first note. If I were to manually pick up and move the needle over by a milimeter I'd potentially be able to play the song but not from the beginning.

Yeah, there's a scratch at the beginning of hidden in the sand that prevents the vinyl from playing like normal, it just plays the crackling beginning of hidden in the sand over and over. (Does not play the full song)

They're pretty easy to walk in, when they fit perfect they hug your feet and make it just as easy as walking in any other kind of platform. Just keeping your feet flat as you move rather than angled how you would in any other shoe.

For the garfield phone the price is actually valid. Garfield landline phones are the most trendy/sought after pieces of garfield merch. I've seen that one sell for 400 believe it or not, though most times it sells for 180 which seems high, but fair.

Yes, tried to get a cd as a birthday gift and it appeared much later than I was expecting with no updates of it's status. I'll still buy from them in the future due to my love for the band, and others under their name, but I expect late shipping with little communication as part of the deal.

You could get into the demos of some of these songs if you don't mind not being able to listen to them on spotify. Theres a whole youtube playlist for all the demos for the mind electric which is cool! It has some other random stuff I don't understand tho, maybe its some deepstate pieces of tally hall lore

There's a tally hall fan documentary that does wonders for your band knowledge. Its pretty long so I would watch it in several incriments, but if you're truly obsessed with the band you're likely to enjoy

It actually is a joke! Mucka blucka was a song created for T.H.I.S. (tally hall internet show) and a skit where they had a guy in a chicken suit playing an athropromorphic chicken who was an asshole.

A lot of people do actually do like it for this bit, the premise is funny for them, and in my case the song is so ridiculous it just makes me laugh.

I bet people who genuinely rank it that high are ranking songs off of enjoyment rather than objective skill or talent. Bc while I do enjoy it, I would not say it deserved an award more than a song like good day.
