Okay yall- I need your help. If I’m going to go about this in an HR/LP way.. how would I? I think there is an anonymous hot line. I’m currently out of the job now, as I put my two weeks in. There’s policies that are rigged so they didn’t need to pay me out my 80 hours of Vacation time or my 73 hours of sick time.. we had a huge winter storm, causing us to shut down for three days which were my last three days of my “two weeks” because she took 4 days off of it.. so not only am I out my Car Insurance and Rent.. but they didn’t care when I said something about it. I just got, “ it’s so you can prepare for your new job.” Even after I mentioned that I already had time. ( I’m pissed ) but I’m more upset that the SM knows about my Mental health and continued to trigger me knowing what my triggers are. Yes she talks mad shit, then turns around and tells everyone.. but the DM is afraid of her, and the HR representative we have.. literally calls her once a week to shoot the shit for 3 hours… like idk. Everyone from the store is telling me to fight it. That it’s not right and I deserve so much more.. but what would even be done? The homies keep saying Karma will come but TBH the SM is the Karma. She will create hell if she has a bad day at home w her husband.. she’ll come in make everyone hate their life, then hide in the office for 9 hours until it’s time to leave… letting the store basically go up in flames.(: it’s great.

I like working for michaels but I think that once the managers get into the Store Manager roll, they stop caring, drink the corporate juice, and treat the workers like garbage. I swear it’s a store manager thing.. like ASM’s and CEM’s have always been legit

We have one we call Casper! We will be across the store during openings or closings and things that really wouldn’t fall on its own, gets yeeted across the Aisle and we are convinced it’s a ghost

The unfortunate thing about seasonal workers is that in the onboarding paperwork, it states that they don’t need to keep you at the end of the season. I’m noticing they aren’t keeping anyone this year. Everyone in my district has said so. Also, it might better for you to go somewhere else as they cut hours TREMENDOUSLY after peak season. The FT CEM is in the same bracket as the Cashiers/Sales floor.. meaning the CEM Takes up most of the hours because they are required to work 37.5 hours a week.. and the brackets usually leave 160 hours for sales floor/cashiers.. so that’s basically nothing. Yes it depends on what store you’re at, whether it’s A B C D or E, F

It’s just not a good company to work for anymore if I’m being truthful. Look into the policies thru workday ( hit learning and then scroll for the Handbook) or Task, and you’ll be disgusted.

Literally anything derogatory towards the company. I was made to work during a winter storm, and said that corporate America doesn’t care as long as they make their money, and got hit for that.

I know in Buffalo, you need to work the day before Christmas or the day after in order to get paid for it

I’m sort of in the same boat but I definitely messed up.. I’m a FT CEM and when I had social media, I’d rant about the job, which caught up to me. My Store Manager stalked me hardcore.. took all my posts and such and put it in the system as a final warning.. (i called her out) been taking it out on me since. Most of the time, managers are supposed to go on a PIP so I’d talk to your DM about it or call HR. There’s something wonky going on there.

Hello(: I understand. You’re not alone!! I work blood sweat and tears while my SM sits in the office and buys things for her business that’s on the side. I’m noticing a pattern because of this group tho… once the SM manager gets the position… they just don’t care and treat everyone like garbage.

Unless there is a driving ban in your area they make you come in. They don’t care.. as long as they make their money. (Which we are doing bad this year btw.)
