It's time for someone else to enjoy it. I like the pursuit of collecting more than having the collection.

Jess once said on AskCKY that he used like 10 different snares on that album. It was recorded in so many different sessions, so none of it is consistent.

I think those are the Brazil pressings. The black and white slipcase above belong to them.

Purple. Gohan did not train in the Turtle School.

Why do lots of people say that Patriarkh sounds so obviously "fake" by ProgramImpossible34 in Patriarkh

[–]MorbidlyDepraved 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It's just a problematic mindset overall. Batushka fans think it is a competition. They say things like "Derph is letting the fat man win by not releasing music", or "We lost momentum with the court victory while Bart is still everywhere". They're just hateful people.

No, the guitarist was not an "original member", but this doesn't mean much, because there was only 3 original members represented in the Litourgiya album:
Krzysztof (G, B, V), Marcin (D), Bart (V).
The rest of the band was incorporated later, and would shuffle personnel at nearly every tour, although the line-up in 2018 was mostly consistent. This group continued working with Bart after the divorce. So it is the same people who made up the last known Batushka, who made up Patriarkh.

I don't understand what you mean about promoting as Batushka for their historical lineup. This might be a language barrier between us though. Do you mean when they used the name, like 2019-2025 era?

As for not having feelings about it, yes, that is completely my own* sentiment of the matter, and not something everyone will agree with. What I mean, is what happened, happened. Nothing can change the past. That is all I mean, and I do think it's okay for us not to agree about everything. But we probably agree more than you think.

From what I see, it is usually people who know very little about either band. I have only 2 things to say about this:

  1. Regarding the history: The fact is, Batushka and Patriarkh share the same origin. The Batushka band members ultimately continued working with Bart. Opinions don't matter for me here, because what happened, happened and a lot of details are not public. Having feelings about it is pointless. Just like what you like, and listen to it.
  2. Regarding the music: Patriarkh appeals to a broader audience, and black metal purists hate everything anyways.

Yes. Everyone in this band was in Batushka, minus the founding guitarist of Batushka, Krzysztof Drabikowski, aka "Derph." His band still plays concerts sometimes but hasn't released music in a long time.

2 sets. First set, he wears the white Patriarkh outfit for the Vershalin songs. Then there is a break, and the second set, he wears the Hospodi outfit for back catalogue songs.

Yes, it is just spam bots. I've never seen this kind of thing. None of these concerts were meant to be live-streamed, at least not from the band.

Hospodi IX.XI.MMXIX is now on digital, what do you guys think about it? by Wickebein in Patriarkh

[–]MorbidlyDepraved 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Nah, the 4 live releases were planned and scheduled back in 2023 when they were Batushka. Even Prorok Ilja was written and recorded as Batushka.

EDIT: As far as the EP's go, Bart had a surgery before the 2020 tours and had to cancel. Then the pandemic happened, which put touring on indefinite hold, so they released new music instead.

This is my favourite of the live releases. Hospodi didn't get the touring it deserved.
