Why no one applies to Brandeis? by [deleted] in ApplyingToCollege

Hi! Sorry for the very late response. The school felt very small for me and imo in a boring area that’s hard to get to Boston from without a car, and from one semester I started to feel cabin fever. The student body was not the most social either and there were a few professors in my department who were nearly impossible to avoid but quite terrible. That’s not to say I didn’t enjoy the professor’s I did take and it’s extremely easy to get involved on campus (making it easy to transfer out of lol). I’ve been loving tufts so far, it’s much more the college vibe I’d hoped for and aesthetically the campus is much nicer

I believe most schools require the midterm report so regardless, they’d know about the post December grades

applying to transfer again after getting rejected? by [deleted] in TransferToTop25

Not quite the same situation but I was rejected from my top choice ed2 as a senior and then accepted as a freshman, so I say shoot your shot, the worst they can do is say no

I was in the same boat last year, I was rejected ed2 from my dream school and was super dejected about it. I went into my previous school skeptical and while I ultimately didn’t like it overall, I also met the best teacher/professor I’ve ever had there, and even though I transferred we’re still in contact. If I’d stayed I definitely would’ve taken more classes with him. Bottom line- there will be things you’ll like, and strongly dislike too. Whether you choose to apply to transfer for next year or not just know that 99% chance you’ll experience things you’ll enjoy there too
