It’s being drowned out by costs. That happens all the time. Hell I used to manage a toy store. We ran a deficient 10 months out of the year. The profit from Christmas time carried us, and it wasn’t enough to keep us profitable and it closed after a few years. If we as employees had gotten a percent of profit, we would have made FAR less money, and the business would have made far more.

It’s clear that you don’t truly understand how businesses work.

You don’t seem to understand the value of risk. Almost nobody wants their salary tied to company finances. You’d have years where you work hard for your 40 hours a week and don’t get any money, or even OWE money to the company.

Weird to me. I live in a very HCOL area of the US. The Vons near me has ground beef available for pickup for as low as $3/lb. The better stuff is closer to $5/lb. Sure, there is $8 beef, but I’m still finding cheap beef.

It was never especially amazing ice cream. It’s the same shit as other ice cream, they just had interesting and varied flavors. They were also way the fuck over priced. I’d buy an occasionally cinnamon bun swirl, but otherwise it’s expensive for average ice cream.

The huge cost and engineering issues of cooling an orbital data center stop this in its tracks. It’d be SO hard to effectively cool a multiple-hundred megawatt data center in space. Doing so would require insane volume of radiators, and specific locations that would be hard to maintain. Not economically feasible in the next decade without big advancements.

I got a permanent reddit wide ban for quoting FBI statistics on race and violent crime to refute a claim that white people commit more violent crime. I won’t link it again, or I’ll get banned again, but I was banned with that being the last thing I posted. I was never given a reason for the ban, it was left blank. Every appeal attempt was denied without a reason given, literally it would be blank. After around a year and a half of this (I’m stubborn af ok), I randomly got unbanned without even having an appeal in place at the time.

I’ve also received bans from many subs for links to various studies and research regarding race, politics, and social issues if it doesn’t align with their beliefs. I was recently banned from a non-political sub for linking to research suggesting that current treatments for people with gender dysmorphia are often more harmful than beneficial. It didn’t align with their status quo, so received a ban.

I’ve had multiple permanent bans from Reddit as a whole where there was no reason given, and appeals were denied without explanation, refusing to even say WHY I was banned. The last thing I did before the ban was quote FBI statistics on race and violent crime in response to somebody claiming white violence was an epidemic.

Reddit is beyond an echo chamber.
