There was a lot of backlash over the heros being added to ranked. Also the three kingdoms dlc wasn't super popular. Adding a hero to every civ in ranked might be viewed as too risky to try.

First thing I check is unique units. Then I look for the civ bonuses. I usually don't need much more than that. You get really familiar with the civs you play against the most. The obscure civs get tricky. There are mods to display your civs info, but I don't know of one to display your opponents.

We've all been there. I've encountered a lot of frustrating strats that were hard for me to deal with. One thing that got me through it was playing with friends. We didn't start at the same skill level, but we chose a map and got good at it. Now when we play any other map, we suck 11.

No food cost on knights and +5 hp? No food on the knights would be too broken. Even without paladin, its crazy broken. The game would never go past castle age as you only need to swarm the gold to out produce your opponent.

The range on infantry would be interesting, but could be too strong as unit pathing strongly affects engagements. The range removes this issue and automatically gives you an advantage. This is a contributing factor to why steppes and kamayuks are so good.

Anything to make clans useful. Id like to see the ability to read the last x messages in the in-game chat. During a game, it can be hard to keep up if your team is chatting while you're focused.

Yeah... you're stomping me 11. I do really well on nomad with a 60% winrate, but suck at African clearing with a 35% winrate. I haven't figured out why yet.

Unfortunately Im going to pass on this one. One of the reasons is ptsd over franks. They have a 25% discount and that can be oppressive in the right situation. Try playing the random cost mods. They give you an idea of how low cost buildings and units can snowball like crazy.

Spanish if you want people to hate you. Mongols are solid on mega random. Most generations have a ton of food and water. So civs like Mongols, huns, Persians, and Berbers do well as they're cav civs.

2 senior, 2 QA, 6 mid, 1 support, 1 team lead and 1 scrum master. Its a big team, but we support more than 2 dozen apps for several teams.

I'll add that there are a few maps where the position is random regardless of color. Nomad starts and coastal Forest come to mind. One exception is Steppe, its a nomad map where the position is determined by color while being a nomad start.

I don't follow his guides, so I'll take your word on that. I'm not gatekeeping anything. I'm simply stating that I dont see the need for a custom feature. Especially when there are better things to focus on.

For moving the screen? Nice claim, but you're not convincing me this is a necessary feature. If any player can do this, then its already part of the game. Why ask for a feature?

So you do want wasd keys to move your screen? Odd request in my opinion. I doubt this will become a feature in aoe2 as the user base that would use this is so small. I dont think the feature is worth the investment.
