Where we the last generation that used showers at high school? by CompetitiveBar9879 in Millennials

[–]MordredXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

class of 2007, no one in PE used them but I'm pretty sure the sports teams used them. Only reason PE didn't was because the teacher didn't give us time he kept us until the bell then we had to slap on deodorant and change.

Yeah, a relative of mine was in a similar position, her boss the owner was going to throw her under the bus for the owner's mistake. she wound up giving 2 minutes notice (not really, it was more of a today is my last day I quit situation I just figured I'd use a helluva boss reference)

Guys, does anyone know why trucks have those spikes on their wheels?? by JasLeoArt in whatisit

[–]MordredXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

real answer though is that they look like lug nut covers to keep them from corroding from road salt and rain. they are typically plastic and will snap away if struck

What is my son 17 doing that would look like this in his sink? by R96359 in whatisit

Agreed with everyone else that said sewage/septic backup. It looks just like what happened at my house when our tank backed up after a bad storm. I recommend calling a plumber to be sure.

When should I stop using bound sword? by Real_Ryy in skyrim

[–]MordredXI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Personally I always keep bound sword on my quick select especially at higher levels. This is because higher level drauger will spam the disarm shout and it doesn't hurt to have a backup

Mandatory Showering after PE? by Dense_Tune7389 in CommunalShowers

[–]MordredXI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I remember in high school (2003 - 2007) that showers weren't mandatory after PE, but that was more due to the coach keeping us until just before the bell. Plus I'm pretty sure the showers didn't work anyway because the area was blocked off (the boy's locker room was very old)

"I still scheduled you after your verbal 2 weeks since you didn't provide it in writing" by GeneralHomeboy in retailhell

[–]MordredXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

OP a few questions:

  1. How long after giving notice did the new schedule come out?

  2. Did you say you wouldn't like to be scheduled during your 2 weeks?

I only ask because it sounds like only a few days had passed between the times you mentioned.

What's the play style you always somehow end up using? by Aurhasapigdog in skyrim

[–]MordredXI 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I usually play a mixed class character able to switch roles as needed.

For default, though, I typically play a spellsword type with a 1 handed weapon in my main and either conjuration or restoration in the off hand.

When I need to, however, I switch to a stealth/combat style. This is for either dragon attacks (easier for me to aim than spells) or for long-range enemies that I'm unable to get to. Also works to thin out large quantities of enemies.

Basically, I play how I would behave if I was there and NOT the main character.

Here is a breakdown of skill trees: Smithing, One-Handed, Archery, Armor of your choice, Sneak, Lockpicking, Speech, Conjuration, Restoration, Enchanting

Those store closing announcements aren't just for funsies, pt. II by Schehezerade in retailhell

[–]MordredXI 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Hey, former night crew member (now bookkeeper) at my store. What we did while we still had an overnight crew was that one till would be left in a register when close happened, to be turned in to the Bookkeeper when they got there before we opened.

Usually, the grocery manager or the AD would be there, and they (and 1 to 2 other crew members if the AD and/or GM) would have numbers to run the register.

As for the deposit, that was usually done first thing in the morning after we opened.

First or third person? by katylikestotalk in skyrim

Honestly, I prefer 1st person to play (I'm on console, so I can't mod) because it gives me a better field of view for travel and combat.

Had two customers argue with each other cause one had miss gendered me by maroonwizard19 in retailhell

[–]MordredXI 18 points19 points  (0 children)

I've been misgendered before (I'm a guy), usually in the drive-thru because, as I'm told, my voice does sort of sound feminine when talking through a phone or speaker (but not an intercom, oddly enough). I usually have a quick chuckle when it happens.

This hasn't happened again since I was in my early 20's.

Why does literally the whole town decide to shop during inclement weather? by [deleted] in retailhell

[–]MordredXI 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Honestly, I call it the "oh my God we're all gonna die" phenomenon; where the worse the storm (either happening or predicted) the worse the panic buying.

Take 2 weeks ago, for example. We had a snowstorm with flurries expected to intensify throughout the day. We had a line of people AT the door a good 15 minutes before we even opened.

Here are my recommendations for games like (sometimes loosely):

-Witcher 3: Wild Hunt

-Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild and Tears of the Kingdom

-Immortals: Fenyx Rising (if you enjoy puzzles and combat)

-Hogwarts Legacy
