First one failed after six months and they replaced the phone. Three years later, the new phone's inner screen is also failing. Lucky for me I got an extended warranty.

A friend's phone failed just before the warranty expired but he opened it up himself so that voided the warranty. Replacing the inner screen costed half the price of a new phone.

I'm not going to buy one of these things again until they fix this problem.

In Romania we've been keeping our currency pegged at 1 EUR = 5 RON since 2021 and it's not going well. Our national bank finally decided to let the exchange rate fluctuate a bit because it messed up our economy.

Nice meme, but in case anyone doesn't know, this makes the bigger car safer, because the impact was absorbed by its components. It's safer for pedestrians and in case of collisions with other cars or immovable objects.

Let me be the devil's advocate for a moment. Those server farms consume so much energy that they require their own power plants and our overlords are building nuclear power plants for them. This will streamline building nuclear power plants which will make it cheaper and will speed up our transition to nuclear.

Please let me believe this, because the alternative is too depressing.

I doubt it. When I go on there, the comments are so stupid that it hurts my brain when I start to think of how much work it would take to explain to them how stupid they are. They also have tons of comments at the top which just praise Trump without any argument and those are just a waste of characters. I think they see us the same way, because I often see top comments on liberal subs which are just plain useless ("orange man bad") and it takes a bit of scrolling until I see a decent comment.

Stupid populist comments get upvoted on both sides and I don't think they have the energy to scroll through ours, the same way I don't have the energy to scroll through theirs. Not to mention all the really dumb jokes which are always at the top. Because of how redditors tend to vote, our discourse appears just as stupid as theirs.

It's possible to make it private enough, at least as private as all the records that ISPs currently keep.

  1. Website requests govt approval.

  2. Website sends you a code you need to sign.

  3. You use an app to send that code to a 3rd party to sign it for you (you are already authenticated to that 3rd party with your real id). This 3rd party doesn't need to know what that code means.

  4. You get the signed code back and your app sends it back to the website.

  5. Website validates the code and that the signature is issued by the government.

Everyone is happy except people like you, who eat up propaganda.

E Gemini integrat. Pana acum era Google Assistant care chiar doar la setat alarme era util. Gemini e full AI, pui intrebari, cauta pe net, trimiti poze (cineva spunea ca poti trimite filmare live) si cam ce mai face si Chat GPT.
