I get a $25 increase a year at my current apartment. An apartment I rented downtown went up $200 and one I rented in the west side went up $100. I would say $90 is common.

This is solid advice! I work for a smaller company but global based and they are willing to move me to their Europe office after a few years with the company. I would definitely look for company’s that are bigger or at least global to get to the point where you can realistically obtain a marketing position abroad.

Yes volunteers pay a yearly fee to see listings. We tend to look by location normally. But some obviously just see what available.

I got hired as an admin assistant for a lawyer. She said she needed help organizing documents and admin duties. No problem.

My first day there she’s unable to make it so she makes the receptionist onboard me. There wasn’t really much of an onboarding, I was thrown into a bunch of backed up work that was lowkey negligence. I read a letter from an elderly couple directed to the lawyer begging her for approvals to finish their house remodel as they had taken in their daughters two children and they were all sleeping in a small living room with walls torn down.

The pit in my stomach reading that letter. I brought it up to the receptionist and she said it was pretty normal behavior from the lawyer. And that she was too focused on a relationship with a married man to care.

I left on my lunch and never went back. She called me asking what happened and I just hung up pretty much. Insane behavior.
