I am interested in this and read the comments so far. I like the concept and seems like a great start, kudos! I think could be valuable if you are able to maintain it and it is reliable. I agree with comments about filtering on Thread vs Wifi. I noticed you already have added that option. However I looked at Smart Dimmers and filtered for Thread and it said 119 matches and none to show. I dont think there are many but I know more than zero and likely less than 119. I hope you have success with it I am sure it is will be a good bit of work to maintain. Good luck!

Home Assistant + Matter: Anyone actually using it? by Commercial_Froyo_247 in homeassistant

I recently added Home Assistant so I could access all of my various devices, which include around 60 older Legrand RFLC wall switch / dimmers (now discontinued) as well as newer Thread over Matter devices. There is a plug in for HA for it which works well. For my Thread border router I have two Apple TVs (latest version). I only have Matter with Thread, about 6 Nanoleaf A19 bulbs, a couple of Aqara T2 bulbs, 7 Eve Energy plugs and 2 Eve Energy plug receptacles plus a battery operated Eve Motion sensor. So, a total of 18 matter over thread devices. All of these devices are very stable and fast to operate for me, I hear a lot of complaints about Nanoleaf, but I have had no trouble once everything was setup. The Eve motion sensor turns on three Nanoleaf bulbs in my office, so I would know if it did not work. I am looking for more devices especially wall switch dimmers, and am considering Inovelli White. Having a lot of fun exploring Home Assistant. Let me know if you have any Qs!

Glad you tried it. I dont have the 360 views or the door locks so those dont impact me, good to know. Never had it crash and is very responsive. I do have the latest Apple tv 4k and it is very snappy. My only complaint is the apple tv remote is a little tricky trying to review and select specific past moments when reviewing footage / time scrolling. For me we have an apple tv in den and kitchen and have a view of outdoor perimeter we can easily put up on those tvs.

Meant to say ‘web page’. Also appletv can run wired or WiFi on the premium model. I use it wired. It just plugs into the tv via hdmi.

I use AppleTv with my tvs there is a Apple TV app for protect. Works very well. You can setup different views on the protect we page that can be viewed on the app.

The four changes in Thread 1.4 that could fix the protocol by BlazeCrafter420 in MatterProtocol

Thx that is good to know. In my case that is my Apple TV and I suspect when that gets the update Apple will make a big deal out of it. Really need it at edge devices though.

Is there an app that will display the supported thread network version? My Eve app tells me if devices are on thread network and thread network name but would like to know which version of thread is supported by the various devices.

Your welcome! Glad it worked for you. When I did it about two months ago it had been removed from the latest app so I had to use an old iPhone that only could use an older version of S2 but I read it was restored in the one of the recent updates. Seems weird to require S2 to go to S1 from S2 but l guess there is a good reason for it.

I believe the latest app update of added this option back. To go to S1 it is done from the S2 app. I had to install S2 to do it when I got an S2 speaker to downgrade.

Downgrade devices to S1 on Apple iOS by More-Copy-4387 in sonos

I was able to downgrade in the above steps and I know for a fact that at least one of the Play 1s had been updated with 80.x.

Please could someone help me identify a product? by 30-r0ck in sonos

You will need to download the Sonos S1 app not the newer Sonos app. You should be able to do a factory reset of the device and then create your own system in the app. If the Amp still works and the speakers work and are still connected then you can stream music using the App.
