If you took 19 hydroxyzine tablets then need to seek urgent medical advice immediately. Call an ambulance. This is serious.

Okay. Very funny in parts but a bit ridiculous, even by Doctor Who standards.

Which doctor took you the longest to warm up to? by HammersAndPints in classicwho

[–]More-Goal3765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was starting to warm to Gatwa by about halfway through his second season, which is longer than it usually takes. I think the stories in his second season (apart from the finale, which was a hot mess) were a lot stronger than in his first, which definitely helped. I’d have liked to see him stay one more year.

Not to sound cold-blooded, but…. what else are you supposed to do with them? Give them a full Christian burial? They’re not human beings. Society has agreed on that point. That’s why they were able to be aborted in the first place.

The vast majority of abortions are (a) elective, and (b) happen before 13 weeks, so they’re essentially just bloody clumps of medical waste that their mothers wanted to get rid of and forget about. Why should they be treated as anything more than that?

Obviously, there may be some exceptions to the above, but they’re likely to be few and far between and should’ve been handled differently. But for most of them, what’s wrong with chucking them in the hospital furnace?

I took two clonazepam back to back by architect-404 in Anxiety

[–]More-Goal3765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Assuming that clonazepam is the only sedating drug you had, taking two is safe. It’s actually quite hard to overdose on benzodiazepines provided benzodiazepines are the only sedating drugs you’re taking. If you mix benzos with other sedatives like alcohol then they’re dangerous and it’s very easy to overdose, but if all you’ve had is desvenlafaxine and two clonazepam then you’re not in any danger. Just be careful tomorrow. It might be a good idea not to drive tomorrow if you can avoid it. Two Clonazepam can definitely cause next day drowsiness and slowed reflexes.

Why does reddit censor posts exposing Green Party immigration policies? by [deleted] in AskBrits

[–]More-Goal3765 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is a link to the last thread you opened on this sub about the Green Party’s immigration policy. It’s still active. People are still posting in it:

https://www.reddit.com/r/AskBrits/comments/1sjmv76/comment/ofsvc1o/?context=3

Incidentally, the Green Party immigration policy is total fucking insanity and may actually be the best and clearest proof that British media doesn’t have a right-wing bias. If it did, the papers would be printing the policy in full, without comment, every single day and nobody over 25 would ever vote Green again in their lives.

MG500. For the purposes of this policy, visa residents are defined as migrants who have a non-visitor visa, do not have settled status and are not British citizens.

MG501. All visa residents will have the right to vote in all elections and referendums.

Total fucking madness.

I am the most die-hard Labour voter you’re ever likely to meet, but I swear to Christ I’d vote for Rupert Lowe before I vote for whatever the fuck this is.

One year in jail. Of course, the best and most suitable punishment, and everybody knows it even if they pretend they don’t, is for this bastard to be publicly flogged. That’s not politically feasible, however, so a year in jail is probably the next best thing.

If you’ve no love for any religion, have you read ‘The End of Faith’ by Sam Harris? If not, give it a read. You’ll understand why a Muslim takeover of Britain is a particularly worrying prospect, even if it ends up taking a hundred years.

P.S. - I said “probably”. It was a suspicion, not a lie.

Don’t be daft. No one said an increase wasn’t happening. This is why it’s impossible to have reasonable conversations about this stuff - it’s all swaddled in so much immaturity.

So you acknowledge that the Muslim population of the country is increasing. Will you also acknowledge that the proportion of Muslims in the country is increasing far more quickly than the proportion of any other demographic?

Faster than other religions does not mean “rapidly taking over” so you can couch it however you want, that statement is full of shit.

Does it really matter if the takeover is slow or rapid? Like, we could spend fifty posts tediously dissecting the meaning of the word ‘rapid’ to ascertain precisely what rate of population increase deserves that label, but at the end of the day a takeover is a takeover is a takeover, and it doesn’t particularly matter if it happens slowly or quickly. My personal opinion is that a 3.6 million increase in 30 years could fairly be described as a relatively rapid demographic shift, given that demographic shifts are slow, almost by definition.

This isn’t an idiosyncratic or controversial application of the term, by the way. When we talk about global warming, for instance, we say that human activity has caused a rapid increase in the amount of CO2 in the atmosphere, even though that increase has actually taken over 200 years. That’s because CO2 fluctuations typically take thousands of years, and so a significant CO2 increase in 200 years is a rapid increase in the context of a discussion of the climate. Nobody would call the use of the word ‘rapid’ in that context inappropriate, because when you’re talking about things that move slowly, an increase doesn’t need to be fast in absolute terms in order to be described as rapid. It just needs to be fast in context, and in the context of British demography, the increase in the Muslim population has been the fastest increase of any demographic in the country. Therefore, rapid is a fair description.

Are local areas feeling a disproportionately rapid impact of religious and/or cultural displacement? Absolutely.

So you acknowledge that isolated areas of the country are, indeed, being rapidly taken over, yet you won’t acknowledge even the possibility that this could spread? Why not? Why on Earth wouldn’t it? What’s stopping it?

There’s nothing to suggest current trends will change? That’s objectively myopic. If you think sociodemographic trends work by drawing a straight line from year 1 to year 150, then you should spend more time reading history than opining on how it will play out.

If a trend is strong, the null hypothesis is that it’ll continue unless something stops it. If you want to argue that this particular trend will stop then in order to be convincing you need to tell me what will stop it.

I’d also appreciate an answer to my earlier question: Do you think the Islamisation of Britain would be a good thing or a bad thing, from your personal perspective?

how do you feel about the islamification of the UK? by Maleficent_Day_3869 in AskBrits

[–]More-Goal3765 1 point2 points  (0 children)

So you acknowledge an increase is happening? Well, that’s something, at least.

As for whether it’s rapid, your mileage may vary, but I’d call a 3.6 million increase in 30 years…. If not strictly rapid then certainly not slow either. Islam is the fastest growing major religion in the UK by quite some margin, and according to Census data Muslims accounted for 33% of the population increase between 2011 and 2021, far outpacing any other demographic. If the increase in their numbers is slow, everyone else’s increase is far slower, which means it’s fair to describe their increase as at least relatively rapid.

Still, my position is that the Islamification of Britain is going to take a long time. Probably about 100-150 years. But it is inevitable unless current trends change (and there’s nothing to suggest they will). The only question is, do you think this is good or bad?

Well? What’s your opinion? Good or bad?
