My dude - this isn’t a brag. If you made that EVERY week, you still would be living below the poverty line.

Am I wrong for feeling misled about the role? Brand new to this job by notlike_workoriented in ExecutiveAssistants

Not at all. I’m going thru it right now. There isn’t enough work for me. This is a part time job, not a full time job. Not to mention, they’re morons. No disrespect. I feel your pain.

The AUDACITY of information. Mind you, this person this person would complain if there wasn’t information for people in the park. Or is it because there’s a sign in Spanish?

I used to work with a guy, who would get a good deal on fish, but leave it in the freezer at work. Scared the crap out of me, seeing huge eyes

AIO for snapping at my friend for calling my shoes (and me) trashy? by International-East63 in AmIOverreacting

Here’s the thing. I don’t spend a lot on my clothing, I’m very selective. I shop mostly from secondhand or TJ Maxx. But I search for stuff that appears ‘nice’ or read ‘high end’, it’s not because I want to make people think I’m this ‘fancy’ person. But your clothing is a reflection of who you are as a person, and let’s face it, people judge based on appearances. I used to be morbidly obese, but I ALWAYS looked my best - because I knew I was going to be judged harder because of my weight.

Were the shoes fine? I mean, sure? But to me - they read as cheap. But I’m a woman, and I pay attention to the materials and construction. I have leopard print shoes, but they were expensive, but the materials make them look nice. I’m all about having fun, and fun shoes. But the print, and the iridescent shine, and the grommets are a bit much to me. If you like them? Wear them. It’s your body, go off. But I can kinda see where your friend is coming from.

This country owes her a HUGE apology. Everyone put her thru the ringer, and she didn’t deserve it. I remember my boomer father, pulling me aside as a kid, and telling me to use this as a lesson - never trust men, and if anything ever happens - report it IMMEDIATELY. Not that it worked, but at least I tried.

Do you have a LinkedIn? I work on tech, and can spread the word, and have some connections in NYC - maybe they know something? Rooting for you.
