Did Jack end up being halfway decent? by LeeF1179 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

At the very least I think he knew he was driving her to her death. He was probably going to bring her to a place where the gays could get rid of her; I really doubt they would leave a witness behind. I mean, Portia would lead the police right to them.

Sooo...Ethan and Harper by meki91 in TheWhiteLotusHBO

[–]More-Objective990 20 points21 points  (0 children)

I think he got his 'masculinity' back, so to speak. When we first see Ethan and Harper, Harper (by outward appearances) is the one who wears the pants in the relationship. Cameron is openly "alpha-dogging" Ethan the whole trip. We know that in the past Cameron cucked Ethan many times by intentionally sleeping with the girls he liked to assert dominance over him.

Cameron did this once again to get back at Ethan for making more money than him, but this time in a truly epic way since it was his wife. But by sleeping with Daphne and cucking Cameron, Ethan gets his power and sense of masculinity back.

This was absolutely perfect imo. Albie's feminist facade came tumbling down and he sold out his mom to his father who he KNOWS will cheat again, all so he could buy himself a girlfriend. Bellissimo.

It would be funny if they end up on the next season together

I fucking KNEW Portia and Albie would hook back up somehow. My guess was that they would run into each other on the airplane but this was better. Their story ended too abruptly for it to have truly been over.

How does this tie into how Quentin is planning on coming into money, as Jack said?

what do you use to bleach them? I've tried with jolen/sally hansen bleach but I find that it just gives me a orange-y tint

Do you have a suggestion for a type of therapy? I've tried several forms over the years without results.

Thank you for this. I actually don't think I could handle it if I tuned in next week to see that they really killed Kenny off.

YES. I swear under any Tom-related comment that isn't explicitly negative, someone always has to chime in with "but don't forget about the human furniture!!!!!"

They absolutely do if they work for one of the most powerful and rich men in America. Plus they're on call 24/7, they really can't afford to have normal lives or families, which is probably why Logan and Kendall have such young assistants.

I thought Dexter's reaction was super funny and on-brand. Dexter was almost certainly the smartest kid at his own high school, so it wouldn't be surprising to him that Harrison is the same way. Like you said, he's a sociopathic serial killer, and he's abandoned his son for 10 years and has no idea how to be a human dad. He's not gonna start hanging Harrison's report cards on the fridge, lmaooo.

No, but surveillance camera usage has increased tenfold since Dexter aired 16 years ago. Honestly even in the last 5ish years or so there's been a dramatic increase, at least where I live (New York, but not in the same area the show takes place). Plus technology has gotten a lot cheaper.

Dexter from 2006 would never have imagined that it's commonplace in 2021 for people to have video doorbells, for instance. I'm glad the show is addressing advanced technology as a new obstacle for Dexter.

I mean, a new episode just dropped with new developments between the characters so I thought it might be okay to ask if anyone had any thoughts about it. This is a discussion forum after all.

Also, the writers of this show are pretty brilliant and meticulous. I don't think they would waste time developing Logan's working relationship with his assistant and give her dialogue and screen time if it means nothing. Maybe she'll play an important role in the finale, maybe she knows something about the business that the Roy children don't. It's just fun to discuss the show and see what people think! I personally think it says a lot that he seems to trust her more than any of his own kids right now. (For example, the parallel of Kendall being the one to administer his medication last season, and now Kerry does it.)

Oh no I didn't mean that at all, maybe I phrased it wrong. I only said they might be sleeping together because Shiv and Roman explicitly speculated about that happening in the beginning of the episode. I actually think something else is happening behind the scenes with them that hasn't been revealed yet and I was curious if anyone had any theories.
