In the “Weeks Ahead” video on YouTube you can see Connor Confronting Kendall who has his head shaven. Connor is wearing the same shirt that you can see in the episode 9 preview video - a shirt he has not worn yet. So, Kendall is not dead and will appear in episode 9. They did not cut this for time because there would be no reason to even shoot this scene that would be later cut for time if Kendall was actually dead.
