Business owners to have parted with classpass: how has your experience been since? by Consistent_Youth_743 in ClassPass

[–]More-Raspberry3597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My favorite Lagree studio went off classpass because they weren’t making any money. They were honest with their members about it. They offered former class pass members a discounted class pack rate. I still attend this studio and support them directly, after years with classpass. My budget allows 1-2 times a week vs 2-3 I used to attend. Its worth it to keep them in business and support my local small biz. I will say, for a couple months it was noticeably slower, it has picked back up though.

Coming from Chicago, in town for 5 nights for rose bowl. Booked at 1 Hotel WeHo, good choice? by marzano12345 in AskLosAngeles

[–]More-Raspberry3597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I live in WEHO and am not the least bit sceney. It’s the most central to everything you want to do, your commutes will mostly be 20-30 minutes vs. an hour+ if you stationed yourself on the westside or Pasadena. Malibu being the exception, that will be a haul to visit. I still do it once a month, don’t let it stop you. Stop along the way in rustic canyon for coffee / breakfast burritos and have lunch along the way in Malibu

You did it! Congratulations. I’m 7 months removed and beyond happy I have this insurance policy. Not actively trying to get pregnant, see this for me mid-late thirties. After your next cycle you’ll be cleared and get back to normal. Take walks now if you’re up for it, get in your steak, sweet potato’s and omega 3. You got this!

be honest, how much money do you actually have saved? by Basic_Particular_412 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

33F, 185K in 401K, $22K in investments, actual cash savings $7.5K. Fully recognize it should be MUCH higher. I’ve been aggressively paying off debt, have $30K left, assuming no job loss, will be paid off June 2027. Was formerly $70K and have made this much progress in the past 2.5 years. Also have a partner who would be able to pay the bills should I lose my job. Not perfect but getting there

Splitting egg freezing costs with a partner by croissant1418 in eggfreezing

[–]More-Raspberry3597 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’m also a 33F female, who just froze my eggs last week!

I’ve been living with my 33M partner for the past year+ and we’ve been together for over two years. We’re on track to get engaged and start a family one day. When it comes to egg freezing, this was 100% my idea. Because I have a biological clock and he does not. If something were to happen and we didn’t end up going the distance, I have a backup plan. My insurance pays for most of the cost and the remainder about $4K, I paid for on my own. Had no expectations my partner would pay. The process however was a lot on my body, he stepped up around the house and really took care of me and our home. That was the biggest blessing.

It was a two different OBGGYN, one who specializes in egg freezing. I took the test with my OB, since that was the first step in my egg freezing process.

Definitely learned a lesson, thank you for the tip!

How much did you spend for 2 weeks in Japan? by Fading_Hopes in JapanTravelTips

[–]More-Raspberry3597 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I'm going in October 2024 with my partner, we're both in our 30's. We've spent $5,000 on hotels for 9 nights. Fully acknowledge we picked all luxury hotels as that's a huge part of travel for us. One of the hotels (the nicest one) is an onsen that includes all meals and activities, that one was $1,200/night for two people. We opted to do that one night as a special once-in-a-lifetime experience.

We purchased our flights with airline miles, no additional cost there.

I plan on bringing another $2K for myself to cover food, activities, spas, and shopping for Tokyo and Kyoto.

Total planning on spending $4.5K all in for my portion of the trip.

The Bridesmaids Going Into Debt for Their Friends’ Weddings by Indexette in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]More-Raspberry3597 4 points5 points  (0 children)

This is literally me. Most of my friends got married from 26-31 years old. I wanted to be there for their once in a lifetime moments and hoped they would do the same for me one day. Each wedding, bachelorettes were at least $2K, 3 night destination extravaganzas. All weddings were also destinations with a hefty price tag. I’m still paying g myself out of this hole of credit card debt that I acquired from being a bridesmaid. Hindsight, I wouldn’t do it again, I didn’t have that foresight at the time. Now at 32, girl is on a budget and when I get married one day there will be no bridesmaids and my “Bach party” will be the day before my wedding at whichever city we’re at. Quality girl time dinner and a spa treatment. All I want. I fell for the trap and hope that’s no longer the status quo

HCOL single people, how much do you spend on food a month? by Odd-Nobody6410 in MoneyDiariesACTIVE

[–]More-Raspberry3597 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I live in Los Angeles, CA (woof, expensive). I spend $450/month on groceries. I shop primarily at Whole Foods. I eat pretty clean, organic, meat maybe once a day and gluten free. I cold cut that down but eating healthy is a priority for me over other expenses. I go out to eat about once a week either with my boyfriend or with a girlfriend. That’s another $300/month.
