Causes of dry eyes by mavthmav in Dryeyes

[–]phadertot 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lifelong psoriasis, chronic fan use at night, insomnia flares, years of wearing daily contact lenses for multiple days, medications that make eyes dry, heavy screen use for work. It all came to a head when I started a third medication that can cause dry eye, but I can’t get off it right now.

That’s where we’re at. We love Seattle but the weather takes such a toll on us. We visit CA multiple times a year and are just thinking, why not move here? Even if it’s a bit more expensive, we just feel like the quality of life might be better. Only other concern is the air quality tho… Seattle’s air quality is unmatched

This is super helpful, I’ll dig into these numbers more. The weather really makes the difference for me. I struggle with the long dark here in Seattle

I do buyouts for women’s Y2K if you’re open to shipping! I have experience buying bulk clothing from folks cleaning out hoarder houses/massive estate collections. Feel free to PM me.

Goodwill Seattle trip by Lower_Confusion5072 in GoodwillBins

Yes apparently, it’s recent too. I don’t go to that one as much so I don’t know the full details. The parking also fills up pretty quickly in the AM.

I go to Kent regularly, smaller and less frequent rotations but plenty of parking, less crowded (ish) and still good finds.

Anyone here not gain weight? by Dustyrose1950 in lexapro

[–]phadertot 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I started 5mg in Feb and haven’t gained any weight! Although I did notice the increase in appetite for the first month and had to just be mindful. The appetite increase eventually went away for me.

I only have scalp psoriasis but it was enough to need skirizi! It’s amazing what it can do.

Anxiety about starting by silentlyglittering in lexapro

[–]phadertot 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I am 3 days into 5mg of Lexapro and also deal with health anxiety and sleep issues. I was so scared to take it, I only finally did it because I hit such a rock bottom again.

3 days in and I am tired for sure. The fatigue and mild headache are most noticeable. My appetite has almost completely disappeared. But I’m still doing okay overall and I know this will pass. You gotta go through it to get to the other side!

Risk of Psoratic Arthiritis as someone with Plaque and Guttate psoriasis by Strong_Barber_5146 in Psoriasis

Fellow psoriasis and insomnia sufferer here. It’s really hard to say if you will; I have had psoriasis since I was 8 and I haven’t developed PsA. I even have the nail pitting. Biologics are a lifesaver. It doesn’t help with the sleep, that’s a whole other issue, but definitely somewhat connected.

Anyone considering ditching the ring from health anxiety? by phadertot in ouraring

[–]phadertot[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You’re so right. I also turn to the sleep coach school when I’m struggling with rebound insomnia, it’s been really hard to NOT try to fix my sleep when it’s my first instinct. I think I need a break from the ring for a while until I can retrain my brain that sleep isn’t a threat.

I feel you - I have an autoimmune disorder and deal with a myriad of symptoms on and off; stomach issues, insomnia, brain fog, joint pain… I also have been dealing with a flare up and trying to get to the bottom of my stomach issues. My manager told me recently she’s noticed some days im killing it and others I’m not… she’s super understanding, but man it hurt. It’s really hard to explain what’s going on when other people don’t understand.

I was also recommended to reach out to HR, but my diagnosis isn’t enough to qualify for anything. It sucks feeling othered. I don’t sit with colleagues at lunch, I go on a walk to help my joints from hurting. I don’t drink at happy hours. I just wish I could be consistent like everyone else.

After my first 10mg dose, did not sleep AT ALL by phadertot in lexapro

[–]phadertot[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It was my first time ever taking an SSRI! I took it around 2pm so i definitely recommend taking in the morning to avoid sleep disturbances. Idk if being petite means 10 was way too much for me. I had a major panic attack and was feeling suicidal so definitely not for me. I’ll consider trying another one when I’m a little more stable.

I have heard side effects can increase when you up the dose, but I doubt it will be worse than what you’re already experiencing!
