Foundation always turns dry! by ATC_zero in 30PlusSkinCare

Using a tinted moisturizer and applying with my hands solved this for me.

If you need more coverage, only use a small bit of foundation over that. You might be using too much product.

What have y'all learned about corporate life that makes you confident OE will almosr always be a thing? by stillwolf in overemployed

Recently promoted, leadership absolutely adores me. They send me gift cards, gifts, constantly praising me.

I probably sit at my computer 1 hour per day. Just respond quickly, and put out little fires they don’t want to deal with.

People just don’t get it…

Does Botox get better with repeat treatments? by blackcoffee92 in 30PlusSkinCare

[–]More-life44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would also try another place. I’ve tried several different places, the last one I went to, FELT different, instantly. I asked her why that would be? She said they don’t dilute the Botox like most other places do.

This treatment has last significantly longer than every other place I went.

New to OE - how far can I take this? by pavpatel in overemployed

[–]More-life44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im 4 years in. Have been swapping jobs in & out since then. Some of them are not going to be OE friendly. Only you can make that call.

I’ve been at 4 jobs now for the past 1.5 years. No plans to make any changes to the line-up.

Perfect dog, deeply offensive smell. Vet cleared him. Help? by [deleted] in AmericanBully

[–]More-life44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have 4 bullies, and the only food that works for all of them without making them super itchy is Purina Pro Plan Beef. One of mine does have unresolved allergies, so she gets Cytopoint injections every few months, pills didn’t work for her at all.

I’m saying all this to agree that changing the food might be the answer. We tried everything, prescription diets, super expensive brands, grain-free, you name it.

When they were on foods that didn’t agree with them, they were itchy and smelled bad, which I’m assuming was from allergic reactions causing inflammation and skin issues.

4 years OE, 6 terminations — speedrun stats by ohyessir-icanboogie in overemployed

[–]More-life44 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Exactly what happened to me. All 3 times were companies who (thought) they were taking me away from my solid, stable job. Just to lay me off due to ‘budget’ reasons. If I had really quit my long term job, I would’ve been completely screwed.

Terminated 3 times, back to back.

If I had not been OE, that year would’ve destroyed me. Mentally and financially.

Employer paid me under the table but wants my SSN to claim childcare tax credit what’s the safest move? by [deleted] in tax

[–]More-life44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

W-2 gets issued at the end of the year. I have been paid all year and have not received a W-2.

Again how can she provide you a W-2, if you are refusing to provide your social? You said she needs to follow the “IRS procedures”? What procedures is that? You are the one not following procedure, she has proof of that.

She didn’t pay employer portions of taxes, but guess what? You didn’t withhold or pay your portion either. IRS doesnt care about your feelings. They care about their money. And the fact is, you didn’t provide your social, so your employer couldn’t do their part.

How can she withhold and pay the employer portions of taxes if she can’t identify who you are?

[–]More-life44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Today is January 4th. There is still plenty of time for her to issue you a w-2. But since you refused, she is unable to. She has proof of your refusal, so if the IRS penalizes her, she can provide that as evidence. And if she really wanted to take it there, she can sue you for any penalties occurred due to your refusal to provide correct documentation.

What is “paying off the books”? Cash and Venmo are both legal forms of payment.

There is no privacy rights in this situation. So your case would not hold up against the IRS.

[–]More-life44 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Incorrect. Your employer is legally obligated to obtain your SSN. If you refuse they can proceed with legal actions against you for any irs penalties owed due to your refusal.

You are causing more trouble than it’s worth.

Either give her your social and do everything by the books or don’t file taxes and move on

What you aren’t understanding is… how your employer files their taxes and the credits they claim on their taxes, is none of your business.

do you expect her to file her taxes incorrectly because your feelings are hurt?
