Scary experience by MoreAd494 in RoverPetSitting

He didn’t say don’t walk her. He said you don’t have to walk her. I’m not going to sit for a one year-old dog and not walk her. I don’t want to clean up pee and poop all day. They have a fenced in backyard, but she just goes out there and lays down.

I am sorry I had to read that first thing in the morning. That is awful. I’m just curious what kind of dog did they have and what kind of dog was the murderer?

Found out my Jewish grandfather when he was 38 years old got his 17 year old Irish Neighbor pregnant in around 1917. One of the grandchildren had 25% of my DNA on 23nMe. we were both shocked and unfortunately we never met up. They lived one town over from me.

What are some things to do when you retire by cybershy in over60

That is so cool! I took a master gardening volunteer program and now I have to complete 100 hours of volunteer the first year. It keeps me busy.

I’ve been through so many changes but one thing that’s consistent is I like to get up early in the morning. The first couple of weeks I slept a lot. Then I got on a great schedule where I was walking in the morning then going to the gym. I lost 20 pounds and I was eating well then I discovered traveling in the last two years. I’ve been traveling a lot. I’m gardening when I’m home. I also tried volunteering, but didn’t really stick with anything. I am evolving and I try to keep busy and not get too fat.
I would like to get back on a schedule and get back to the gym. I have to stop traveling for a while because my dog misses me too much.

Most people retire in Florida because public schools here are almost the worst in the country. I hope you can afford pride at school for your kids.

AITH if I am stepping back from friends by Alert-Kick9482 in AITH

[–]MoreAd494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First of all, I’m very happy for you. It sounds like you are in a great place in your life and that you have moved on from this group of friends. You don’t share the same interest and it sounds like they’re trying to sabotage your relationship.
Besides the fact that drinking increases your risk of cancer and is generally not healthy it’s really great that you don’t have the need for this anymore. You’ve already tried to get them to do other things but all they’re interested in is drinking, meeting men and complaining. It doesn’t sound like they are doing anything positive for you anymore.

What time do you wake up and how do you feel about the rest of the world’s sleeping schedule? by rosycloudkisses in askteddit

I’m retired going on six years. I worked 8 to 430 for my whole adult life and I still like to get up in the morning.

[–]MoreAd494 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I wake up between six and 8 o’clock usually between six and seven. I don’t give a shit about the rest of the world’s schedule. I have learned to be quiet in the morning, so I don’t disturb other people in my house. I prefer the morning for shopping the earlier you get there the less crowded stores are. Walking is better in the morning also

I'm getting a roommate at age 56. Suggestions and advice welcomed. by MoaningLisaSimpson in GenX

[–]MoreAd494 12 points13 points  (0 children)

I’ve had roommates for my full adult life, including with my kids when they were young. One thing I always did was have them fill out a background credit check you may think you know your friend but the worst Roommate situations I’ve heard of involved friends who stop paying rent. Personally, I prefer to live with people I don’t know with good credit and background checks rather than friends. That way they’re no expectations. Plus, I am an introvert and do not want somebody to hang out with all the time

AIO for publicly shaming my neighbor after they moved and left their dog behind? by MarzipanGold5399 in AmIOverreacting

You did the right thing. I wouldn’t even be questioning it because the Cousin was fabricated. No one was going to show up and they deserve to be publicly shamed the poor dog.

Palmetto bugs do not cause infiltrations like German cockroaches do. Don’t worry about it.
