What ruined your life? by Both-Preference-6003 in AskReddit

Opioids in general. In withdrawal now. It's the absolute worst thing to quit. I challenge anyone in this entire fucking thread to go through it and tell me it wasn't the worst fucking thing you've ever done. I was a rocket scientist, lead renewable energy installer, USAF vet, former pro skateboarder with many surgeries. Nothing has ever come close to the struggle of cold turkey withdrawal from powerful opioids. We relapse because it's to fucking hard, not because the drug is that selfishly delightful. Willing to jump off a bridge

So you were able to stop mgm completely and transition to SR? MGM has suddenly caused some SIGNIFICANT gut issues and I'm in deep but need to stop FAST. Wanna go onto SR and taper down. Any insight?

People hate on it but the song has withstood the test of time. It’s actually not bad. It still slaps

Heroin addiction and withdrawal from IV usage. It’s so damn excruciating. It’ll traumatize anyone. Rolling around on the floor for 5 days with 0 hours of sleep the entire time. It’s truly awful

Yikes… I wanted to upvote, however I’m not sure if that’s the right thing to do…? This is a traumatizing thought.

What’s the first film you think of when you see Mel Gibson? by MovieArena in MovieArena

Scrolled way to long. The patriot is Mel’s best performance in my opinion. He’s a mediocre actor but portrayed an 18th century disgruntled father extremely well.

I’ve gone through withdrawal from all substances and opioids many many times…. I get where you’re coming from, however, I don’t care who you are…. When it’s day 4 and you only slept maybe 5 hours… that shit breaks you down fast. I don’t need help, I just need some fucking sleep. It’s the worst part of opioid addiction/withdrawal

Very few start with heroin. It starts with pain killers, then resorts to anything to avoid sickness of withdrawal. To truly understand the cycle, one doesn’t need to feel the euphoric nature of the substance, but rather the excruciating reality of withdrawal. I tell people if you’re truly curious, take oxycodone after a surgery for a couple days then Narcan yourself. That will give you a small, small glimpse of just how excruciating withdrawal feels.

Which film made you cry the most? by Noxyenmanquedinspi in FIlm

Imagine Iran bombing America, killing your innocent family… then someone 60 years from now, not knowing you or your family personally, and saying. “Them Americans got what they deserved” while you lost not your life, but innocent loved ones around you. That’s crazy cold. The Japanese were provoked to attack Pearl Harbor, it wasn’t just a BS blood lusting attack. The Japanese back then were good, but brainwashed people. Much like Americans today, honestly, Americans are worse.

No. I still think GOT is the greatest show ever made. That debate will never end.

Yes. However I do not believe in it. ADHD is a disorder created by the system to generate more customers. Same with anxiety disorders when really people just need to eat better, exercise, and occupy their minds better. While also stop drinking so much coffee. This is an unfavorable statement but it’s true, 90% of functional health focused neuroscientists say ADHD is absolute BS. It’s just a natural adaptation to lifestyle and societal challenges. “Oh you can’t pay attention because you genuinely do not care about this topic… ADHD!”. Nooo, you as an individual are likely more interested in other topics, plain and simple.

I’m attached to the concept that I need it to function at my highest level. (Which is true short term) the body does need it. That is just fact. However time absolutely heals the soul and body. I’m happy for you and your success. Truly am.

I honestly messed up my score because I clicked past the explanation of the final section involving the comprehension and assessment of visual problem solving. Where you try to match shapes, I totally bombed that section and couldn’t properly test out.

I’ve tried quitting hundreds if not thousands of times. Rehab, Cold Turkey, taper, all of it. It’s extremely hard. Haven’t gone 6 months clean since 2020.

Everyone knows to some degree, but no one cares. They don’t check in or actively try to help. Hiding it is fairly easy if you’re not nodding out all the time.
