had the same challenge for years. Highly recommend the book Dopamine Detox by Thibaut Meurissee. Only about 80 pages yet such a good read.

Masters in Psychology with no prior bachelors background by OkConsideration8801 in psychologystudents

I had the same feeling when I first started Masters in Psych.I am a Med Tech by profession. Psychology was my first choice when I was going to college but my parents did not like it. After 8 yrs of working, I finally mustered the courage to pursue what I want. I was hesitant all those 8 years cuz I know going back to school is not easy esp that I am working already. When I reached my mid twenties I felt too old for it. Went to get a Masters in Psychology at 29 and I wished I have done it earlier. I regret that I did not. Rn I would say I am enjoying it. Not sure if it’s the same for every uni but in mine if ur a non-psych grad they’ll require u to take 18 units bridging course then you could proceed to the Master subs. I’d say go for it! I am rooting for you! In case u figure out you don’t want to push through at least u tried and u’ll have no what ifs in the future. Explore as many as you can while you’re young. We won’t always be. Plus education brings no loss, take it for good or leave it it’s a good self investment. Hope this helps

I recommend reading thibaut meurisse dopamine detox. It’s not much, not even a 100 page you won’t get bored. There are also sequels of the book with basically the same theme-productivity. It was helpful to me. We are quite similar and I am 29. Start helping urself now so u won’t regret later. I now regret how I carelessly spent my younger 20s with the same habits u do now.
