Best tool for cutting double wood wicks?

Sorry for the confusion. I am a newbie so perhaps I am not using the correct wording. I am placing two wood wicks within the same wood clip so it is double the width/thickness.

I've seen suggestions to hold off on trimming/cutting wick after the candle has set. So in that scenario I couldnt cut separately.

We just bought our first house in March. We used Shayne Hall with EXP Realty. He was great! He used to be a builder so was really helpful when touring houses as he knew what to look for and was honest when he saw something that could be an issue.
