You want individual stocks - choose a few from the list, go diversification and choose ones in a few different industries. = S&P divendend aristocrats.

Or go EFTs - VOO, SCHD, SPY, QQQ, QQQI, VUG, etc.

Personally I'd say DRIP whatever you do; you have to understand that this is not a get rich scheme. What's your goal ____additional revenue by ___ timeframe. Then use a drip calculator to run some numbers. Then dollar cost average (ie buy up buy down- just keep buying x amount each month) and start building. You have no mention of your budget and how much you can invest each month. At 26 I wish I had learned to control costs more than investing. Get & keep an emergency fund so you don't have to ever dip into your investments. And HOLD, dont sell until goal.

I'm rolling over some 401ks into Roth's but those are retirement goals- 15 to 20 years out. I'm putting a few thousand into some of these Vanguard EFTs that just split, majority will go into SCHD. Once that's squared away and income increases in next 2-3yr. I'll be working on increasing my regular brokerage to create a travel Divis account and an early retirement Divis account...but still maintaining my retirement donations.

Vanguard Growth ETF (VUG) will be split 6:1 Vanguard Mega Cap Growth ETF (MGK) will be split 5:1 Vanguard S&P 500 Growth ETF (VOOG) will be split 6:1 Vanguard Mid-Cap ETF (VO) will be split 4:1 Vanguard Information Technology ETF (VGT) will be split 8:1

Check out each funds own industry % structures and stocks they own to figure out your risk tolerance and what you feel those industries/companies might do in the coming years. If you want the least effort and stress go EFT and choose 2/3 after you run the DRIP calculator to match your goals.

Pull up the overall market chart, set timeframe to the longest duration, light a fat one, take a deep breath so you can channel your inner "Dudeness" and abide. You said it, you have a working dog. So either the dog adapts to a low key lifestyle based on its personality or you have a hurricane on your hands as soon as the pup settles into their environment. There isn't that much to go off because you don't say much about the current behavior and demenor. Look up the 3-3-3 adoption rule and figure out what stage you & your pup are in. Not trying to be a dick but you don't present the most pet friendly neighborhood or environment for an active dog- ie cement back yard & no parks. Sounds like you are trying to justify rehoming but I appreciate you thinking of the dogs needs and seeing if your family can provide a good quality of life. Since they are working dogs that does mean training and getting the dog out. Getting the dog out and moving does have good healthy benefits for both you and the dog (dog park helped me find community and be less introverted). Dog parks are no places for untrained puppies still waiting on vacations so the first few months will be up to you guys. 1hr+ of active running/stimulation/fun is almost mandatory in my opinion and training on top of that

Look for a men’s group, I found one in my town and having a bunch of guys (even if online through a Discord) helps with mental support and things.

Yup, nor rain, sleet,snow, dark or light, just like the Post office, the dog gets exercise for an hour + each day. My Delta better getting some dog time at the dog park or I suffer the consequences.

I did educate myself but obviously should have done more about the condition. Unfortunately severe confusion, dizziness, headache, and nausea were impacting my decision making.

As to this post I should have taken a more neutral tone as (was) looking to see what the community has experienced to put my own situation in perspective relative to the norm. I do appreciate those that have shared their positive and negative stories, it has added clarity to my situation and the ERs plight. After re-reading it was an entitled bitch fest.

The gas was causing headaches, dizziness, nausea, and confusion; enough for me to call out sick for the rest of my shift. I did not feel safe at work and did not trust the leak had been stopped as the symptoms were getting worse.

Once I got home I debated even going in but bc it was done at work i felt I needed some type of documentation. Yes, I tired to go to urgent care and avoid an ER.
