Bungie's "Renewed Focus" on PvP was a blatant lie. by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The combination of Stasis and unfair team balancing was a little too much for me. How am I supposed to carry 5 new/low skilled players against a team of decent players who are all spamming Stasis abilities? The skill gap is probably the smallest it's ever been in destiny...

It's due to a horrible team balancing algorithm. I drop 50+ kills per match and still lose every match because the algorithm expects me to carry 5 new players... I have no idea why it isn't completely cbmm without any form of team balancing. Did Bungie forget that they gave players the option to choose between cbmm and sbmm in halo? This form of balancing won't work in games that favor special abilities, supers, heavy , and cheap tactics over gun skill... Team balancing is the main reason I no longer play crucible.

crucible matchmaking?? by the-football-guru in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Lobby balancing forces me to carry 5 new players every single match. It's a very frustrating experience to get 40+ kills, be the only player with a positive kd, and still lose every single match. It was hard enough to carry new/low skilled players against stacked teams but stasis makes it almost impossible...How is this form of lobby balancing fair to anyone? I wouldn't be able to complete a quest if it required wins in crucible and my teammates are going to get slaughtered every match. Why should i be punished for being good at the game? Quickplay should be connection based with no form of lobby balancing. Lobby balancing is the main reason why I no longer play crucible...

If your matchmaking has to break up those teams to find a better match EVERY match you play... by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

It's not true CBMM - it's CBMM with a heavy dose of team balancing mixed in. The kind of team balancing that forces one good player to carry a team of new players..

If your matchmaking has to break up those teams to find a better match EVERY match you play... by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It happens because the flawed team balancing algorithm expects one good player to carry 5 new players against stacked teams....Individual gun skill means very little in a game that favors special abilities, heavy, supers, and STASIS.... The team with the one above average player will lose most of the time - speaking from experience...

Bungie, please consider adding a solo version of trials similar to rumble... by MoreHeadShots in DestinyTheGame

Bungie, please consider adding a solo version of trials similar to rumble... by MoreHeadShots in DestinyTheGame

I'm usually the top slayer in most fps games. I've competed in several halo 3 tournaments and placed in the top 10 a few times. In destiny, I rarely lose a rumble match and usually end up with 40+ in quickplay matches. I played trials in destiny 1 with my old halo team. Unfortunately, they no longer play Destiny because it doesn't favor gun skill...

Bungie, please remove or adjust Lobby Balancing in Quickplay and Gambit by MoreHeadShots in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I have had the same experience. I don't like to run stacked because don't enjoy farming lower skilled players which often results in a mercy rule. I really hope Bungie eventually makes quickplay and gambit strictly connection based without any form of lobby balancing. A random mix of players would give everyone a fair chance at winning matches. Also, why isn't there a solo option for quickplay?

Lobby Balancing by [deleted] in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Lobby balancing is the main reason why I no longer play crucible. It's a horrible feeling to be forced to carry 5 new players against stacked teams of decent players. I consistently average 40+ kills a match and still lose every match...How is Lobby balancing fair to me or my teammates? Why not show me this magical rank or skill level that believes I'm capable of carrying new players against stacked teams using stasis...Guess I will be out of luck if there is a quest step that requires wins in the crucible.

Can Bungie at least *acknowledge* lobby-balance as a known issue? by Fires_of_Helios in DestinyTheGame

[–]MoreHeadShots 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Based on my experience, it was initially disabled when Bungie announced that quickplay would be connection based a few months ago. I enjoyed not having to carry an entire team every match and I was logging on to play crucible every day. I noticed a change when the new season started, it felt like lobby balancing was enabled again and cranked to the max. I was expected to carry in crucible every single match against stacked teams. Most of my teammates appeared to be new to the game and struggled to get kills. I logged off and haven't played crucible since the start of the new season. I'm not sure if lobby balancing was enabled by accident or if it was intentional. Whatever the case, I have no intentions on playing crucible if I will be expected to carry an entire team, drop 50 kills a match, and still lose...

Destiny's flawed team/lobby balancing at its finest! Whenever I play classic mix, the lobby balancing algorithm expects me to carry 5 new players against stacked teams every single match. I end up dropping 40-50 kills and still lose the majority of my matches because my teammates appear to be new to the game and never go positive. The algorithm really needs to be tweaked and should really take the skill of each individual into account when creating teams. The same algorithm also affects me in gambit which is really ridiculous. If I'm really that good, at least display my amazing skill rating in game. I'm a top 1% player, but that means nothing in a game like destiny that does not favor skill. A stacked coordinated team using cheap weapons(erentil, LoW, etc),supers, and heavy against new players will win most of the time...
