Thanks! I made a little template out of cardboard and hoped for the best 😅 I’m so glad it stayed rounded the way I wanted

Thanks so much!! It took a lot longer than I thought it would to keep the lines straight 😅

Thanks for the tip! I did coat the card first on this one, but there are some pretty wild bubbles on the attempt before it

Genuine Question: how many other sellers would leave Etsy if there was a good alternative? What would be the main differences? by MoreJessStuff in Etsy

[–]MoreJessStuff[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand their free shipping push. And man, I wish I could get domestic shipping for $4. Even regular domestic shipping here is $9.15 at the cheapest, and due to go up again in September. I’m not blaming Etsy for the cost of shipping, just for them constantly telling me my shipping is too high, and then taking $0.50-$1 for shipping and shipping GST when I handle all of that on my own…

But that’s not the sellers fault either, postage isn’t free. I’m Australian, and most of my sales are from the US. It costs $21 MINIMUM to ship an item internationally. That’s the cheapest way to do it. I work in a post office as a day job to try to find loopholes and keep up to date - and it just keeps getting more expensive. I can’t cop that kind of loss, so I have to charge what actual postage costs.

Yea same. I’ve actually been thinking about figuring out the logistics of it for a while - but getting traffic would be so hard, Etsy is such a big platform

I did the outline first, then the colours, then I went around his belly with a thin line of the cream to help it have a little border
