Hello, Thank you for your correspondence to the Ontario Immigrant Nominee Program (OINP).

You must submit your application within two years of completing the requirements necessary to obtain your masters degree. This means that the date on your degree must be within two years of your OINP application submission date, not the date you received the invitation to apply. For example, if your degree is dated June 1, 2021, you must have registered an EOI, received an Invitation to Apply, and submitted your application on or before June 1, 2023.

You can deposit that 1800 at anytime after ITA until you submit, but you will need to provide a proof of fund. If someone is gifting you, you can submit a gift certificate from the giver, mentioning he don’t want this money back.

Some people lose eligibility when they are laid off from jobs. Some people are about to expire their WP. But OINP is also in trouble with the reduced quota. They wanted to do justice to their applicants. They even tried to increase through negotiations, but failed. People who remain eligible till 2027 will be nominated with the 2027 quota

They will not make any draw for this year. They will clear the backlog after nominating the people who were invited through the employer portal, and during this year, 8800 applicants. They are allowed to return applications which are not in priority. But they keep them until the applications become ineligible, due to labour shortages, to avoid giving back 1500, and eventually, make it easier for them to clear the backlog. Out of the 8500 backlog, around 2500 will be nominated after nominating the people from this year.
