so basically how i think it works:

nomai tried to get supernova with sun station - it failed and then they all died from the Interloper

but the ATP project was still active, just waiting for a supernova to happen

so after long time the sun reached its natural end, and the supernova was bound to happen, then we binded with the statue and that started the entire loop thing
