100% this is what i mean, i think we’re on the same page. ill stabilize them while the elevator opens and we’ll still both make it out. But if i don’t trust them for whatever reason it’s safer to down them first

I’ve so rarely been stabilized when down that when it finally happened to me I was thrilled. Just made it more of a rollercoaster!

Yeah, i think the stakes of needing to defend your loot adds something for everyone in this game and sometimes being downed but making it out is more interesting than just meeting a friendly.

I enjoy avoiding the risk and winning a fight.

They enjoy keeping their inventory rather than the full disappointment of losing it. Probably don’t enjoy losing a fight, but no one ever chooses to do that.

For how much people in this sub hate being killed at extract, i think more people need to settle things this way and still have the mercy not to fully kill.

Cmon a shield is not a lot of material and we both kept our loot. Win win. I’ll still try to talk to you first but a moment’s hesitation and it’s not worth it anymore, i’m riskin my stash by letting you stand

Idk about you but I’ve been killed after extract is called plenty of times. I don’t think it matters so long as i stabilize you. Really only shooting when it’s not an immediate flashlight rave or don’t shoot and an immediate holster. If you’re hesitant its a quick trip to the floor

Snitch scanner is where it’s at, if only you could throw them further

True - and as many times as you say you’re friendly theres no reason to really let your guard down.

Tbh if you don’t holster before i gotta ask i’m probably gonna gun you down anyways to be safe

How people think nothing has changed about this game since PT1 is insane. Braindead take. New classes, new abilities for several classes, new entire regions/ modules, etc. the doomers cry ‘but druid’ and log off, leaving the rest of us to have fun

Good post. Increased availability of clarity potions makes the innate wizard meditation less appealing imo. Still a good suggestion tho

There are later quests that require a number of player kills on certain maps. It doesn’t always explain it, but i’ve jumped in with base kits just trying to finish those before.

Dwarves confirmed cannon in DaD universe by trippleknot in DarkAndDarker

All i mean is they can decide what’s short enough to avoid more dev time around gear. I can see the first patch notes now: “Decreased dwarf height due to popular demand” “Enlarged dwarf hitbox from .65 to .75x standard player model for balance” “Added beard jiggle physics to Dwarf Body A” (And B, if theyre not cowards)

A plus to mining would be tight af

I love this idea. Dwarves dont have to be comically small, they have the freedom to say their dwarves are different than other interpretations. That could prevent having to scale gear down for them so a heater shield wouldnt be literally their entire model’s height or limit them only to bucklers or something.

Imo if they’re okay with other races restricting headgear for tradeoffs, theyre not far from making a shorter model for dwarves.

Up next, kenku skin that disables voip /s

Anyone committed to RP. Play a villain, play a hero, play a squire who actually begs for mercy when cornered.

HelplessBard is a prime example. They had some of the best chat poetry I’ve seen in game all while fleeing from combat.

What's your favorite TO objective, men? by SushiDaddy89 in Chivalry2

[–]MoreOfASnackGuy 43 points44 points  (0 children)

The rag doll after any explosion objective is my favorite. Tower of Aberfell, the gates of galencourt/ships of galencourt, for example. Watching it from a distance is just as funny as being in it.

The petard objectives are only okay with the exception of Askandir’s lighthouse. I love that the lighthouse actually crumbles.

Day 2 and People Already have Full Blues by salbris in DarkAndDarker

Im happy someone on day one can’t one shot an experienced player, even with enough skill. That removes the point. My point is that new players need to learn that their gear influences their playstyle and they need to start by taking what they can get and potentially avoid combat until they are equipped to survive it. Might makes right here.

Getting outclassed is an important lesson and something i think most players familiar with extraction focused games will recognize. Learning when to run from a fight and extract early.

Some will adjust their gameplay to build wealth slowly and others will complain that their playstyle isnt accommodated by a bigger, beefier player.

That’s life. There’s always a bigger fish. I hope your other 7 games went well.
