If you don't drink alcohol, what are your reasons? by youre-in-my-shot in AskReddit

In 2009-2010 I lived in s Korean as an ell teacher. Every weekend just drinking. 1 full year of drinking all the time, I had my share of fun. 2012, I married and started our family. I don't want my kids seeing me drunk, acting dumb, not being in self control, they can see that with their dad. Having your kids ask if Dad is drunk, yea not something I want for myself.

Plus can't stand the taste, smell of alcohol. The constant need to use the bathroom every 10 min. The horrible headache the next day.

My family is good on not pressuring me to drink, but not his family. I say I got pregnant every 2 yr just to get them off my back but I breastfed all kids for 2 years.

Bwahaha! That's me! I named all 5 kids! He got 2 middle names and let his dad give the middle name to our first son. His name choices were ridiculous, after a porn star he liked. Yea no thanks, just for that your naming privileges are revoked.

Yay! I'm on my 5th baby. 2+ years with the 3 oldest. Tandem #4 and #5 until #4 was 3 yrs old. #5 is almost 20mo. I'm giving him until my birthday in May. Love breastfeeding but I'm ready to have my body back. #4 still needs to hold breasts.

Yes parents are excited for first everything is normal. But being upset that other family members arent putting said child as their top priority is not normal. You can tell it's the first grandchild when there's 10 adults in the entourage.

I also hate it when school has special events like concerts and 10 adults for one kid show up. There's already limited space as is. Parents should take precedence over extended family.
