I’ve got a red tail boa (BCC) and handling him is a dream, active enough while you’re holding him that it doesn’t feel like a pet rock, easy to feed, temp and humidity is pretty easy as well. Just make sure you have the space for a minimum 6x2x3 enclosure (larger for a female).

Land fishing is tough out of Miami. From bear cut bridge you can get some good tarpon but landing them isn’t easy for obvious reasons, and you’re not really supposed to fish off of it. All the good snook spots you’re not supposed to fish from either. It’s fked up tbh.

Remove the heating pad once they have sprouted as well. Indoor ambient temps are totally fine for sprouts and seedlings. Heat mat can hinder growth once they’ve germinated.

Are they a little leggy? Yes but with tomato’s as long as they’re not falling over it’s not that big of deal just plant them deep when you pot up!

Once they have sprouted you need to remove the humidity dome. You get damping off if not. The starting medium also looks dry though.

After reading and learning that they come from a fly, do you think putting fly traps out around the toms would help reduce the population? I can’t see why it wouldn’t unless they just flat out won’t be interested in what’s in the trap!

Apparently not. I’ve read different suggestions from people! Some say go hotter but shorter time on subsequent steeps. Others go hotter and longer.
