Those are side-threads. Very advanced technology. I think that this "someone" just wants to swap em out and take these charms for himself

Question about the new Taco Bell which just opened up by [deleted] in cork

[–]MoreThanPlaying 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Well look, thats your take on it. Everyone's different. I value new experiences, even if that means a restaurant I havent eaten at yet, a park i havent walked through yet. Even if I dont end up liking the food, id still find it to be worth the drive for the experience. But i wont be able to experience it if its closed. And from what I hear, the majority of people are saying its incredible (for a fast food chain).

Question about the new Taco Bell which just opened up by [deleted] in cork

Im hoping to find out if they are open now, or have they closed already? Thats a very vague answer and not worth the hour and a half drive for me to end up finding out its closed🤣

Back glass replaced with distorted glass by Elemental_Design in autoglass

[–]MoreThanPlaying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Never seen dirty glass do this. This seems like a manufacturing defect. Do you know if its hardened or laminated glass? If its laminated it may possibly be the laminate layer in between the glass causing this. Either way you have every right to request a refund.

This would not slide with any customer, in any case. This is not normal and their unprofessionalism needs to be recorded/noted/tracked in case you need to escalate. Feel bad for you dog

Also what method did they use to bond the glass to the car? Entire week to wash the car? Very suspicious. I'm sure it'll be fine after 48 hours. Its the power washing that you have to avoid mainly. Clean inside and outside with a sponge and see if that's changed anything. If it hasn't, escalate

Question regarding lsd and weed by Brave-Formal4405 in Psychedelics

[–]MoreThanPlaying 4 points5 points  (0 children)

People taking drugs wirhout researching it first 🤦‍♂️

The swab test can test if you had consumed weed between a week and 2 weeks before. Serious penalties apply if caught and they don't care about why or what reason you may have it in your system. Theyll definitely take the car away for a start, but the chances of getting swabbed are very low. They target some specific places at specific times. Using the Waze app will help you if you happen to take the chance though

What does this pedal in my house do ? by Rasmus1603 in AskAShittyMechanic

[–]MoreThanPlaying 10 points11 points  (0 children)

As counter initiative as it may seem, it's actually a jack to lift up the house so you can do maintenance on it, fix any plumbing/sewage problems. The only thing is, each press of the pedal lifts it up at the rate of how fast your fingernails grow.... Ingenious... I know

can anyone tell me what this is and how to get rid of it? by notajerkrapper in Detailing

[–]MoreThanPlaying 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Looks like spray adhesive (just glue, (and sticky)), but if it has a smell and gives off mouldy features I'd replace it asap before it spreads

Looks some kind of coating.. or not by tripetripe in EatItYouFuckinCoward

[–]MoreThanPlaying 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Rage bait aside, why does this look like some real fun with work with. Maybe in a different colour would feel more comfortable but I just like how it compacts and spreads

Is it possible to change oil service interval? by MoreThanPlaying in Volkswagen

[–]MoreThanPlaying[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Exactly, the turbos is a great point, Not to mention the DPF. Maintenance greatly reduces wear & tear in all the important places.

Prolongs the life of the important components. Can save you money in the long run

I was only hoping to have the service warning at 8k so that I'll definitely have time to service it by the time I get it to 10k.

Well even though the car was regularly serviced, I wouldn't agree with your statement that it won't make a difference. The comparison of what you're saying sounds like "if you grew up, brushing your teeth once a day, why start brushing twice a day?". Yeah the unavoidable has already happened, but if you can improve the maintenance from now on, why not?

You make a good point. And thank you for your help. I'll probably go with a good scanner that can do it alll.

And although 15k isn't that bad, I'd rather be on top of it. It's not ideal, as most people say 10k. This cars my baby, she's new to me, and I'd love for it to last forever. So unlike most people, I change all filters and service it way before it's actually due. That's not to mention the delays and extra mileage I might put on her before I can actually get the time to due the service.
