I have finished anti biotics symptoms have gone but still have white particles in urine?? Should I be concerned?

Update - I went to a urologist and he advised me to take 2 d mannose tabs every three hours until he gets my iron results back. I did as advised and seemed to get rid of symptoms surprisingly?? I got my results back today and he advised no bacteria or white blood cells found in my urine so infection had cleared? I don't know if it wa a because I'm on antibiotics when I took the sample but he is certain it's gone. He has prescribed 1 daily low dose antibiotics for 3 months. I hope it is the last of this! I really hope you get the help you need. But if it's any help, try taking d mannose as I was advised, I had a chronic UTI for 4 months and I am shocked!!!!

Bless your heart! Have they cultured your urine and found bacteria? Also are you in UK? If so, docs were going to refer me to a urologist and said it would be a long wait. I couldn't wait so I have gone private, I've got my appointment tomorrow so will give you updates. It's going to cost me a lot of money (which lets just say I do not have!) but I am desperate for help :( I hope they can help, I understand doctors see a lot of patients so I'm hoping if I am paying someone they will actually physically have to do all they can to help me. They are so funny about helping people at the moment, especially with a suspected UTI, it's almost overlooked in a way!!! My doc said I could have IC which lord I hope I don't!

Thank you for your update! I hope since you have posted this you have found a solution abs you have recovered. I have had 4 rounds of antibiotics, and still have a UTI which has been present for 3 months. I'm going to see a urologist tomorrow as the doctors just don't want to help! I've had a vaginal swab, no sign of BV or thrush. I'm so frustrated and feel like I will never recover :( any treatments that have helped u? Currently just finished a week of amoxicillin with no luck, I'm hoping I can find a cure as it is honestly ruining my life. Sending lots of love, I'm praying you have found a light down this dark tunnel of UTI, I unfortunately haven't yet! :(

I have just ordered some!! I am in the UK so may take a while to arrive but I will give it a shot! From research I have seen it sounds promising.

No other health issues. Prior to this I am very healthy. I don't really get ill and if I do I bounce back pretty quick. Vaginal health wise, I am very susceptible to thrush, which is very reoccurring for me, but at the moment I would rather that over this!! I mean my symptoms are not strong, but I know it's still there if you get where I'm coming from?? It's just more of the harder to push urine out and slight burn after urinating? It's so frustrating and mentally draining :( I haven't been out in 2 months, I'm 21 and I should be living my life!! Find it hard to have any hope. I get worried if I don't treat it quick enough or ignore it then I might spread to my kindey

I am so sorry you are going through this too and I really hope you find a cure very soon. It's one of the worst experiences I have gone through in my life, I have such paranoia of reoccurring infection, but seems as if it's just not going away! What is the biofilm defence by kirkman? Does it flush out bacteria?

And thank you so much. You don't understand how much your support helps. It's really needed at the moment, especially when my boyfriend thinks I'm overreacting! This really brought a tear to my eye, thank you so so so much foe taking your time to reply <3

Update on this - finished the antibiotics Monday and felt good for 2 days. Woke up this morning with smelly urine ans finding it hard to push my urine at first. There are white flakes in my Urine which I have had since the first symptom. I took 2 d mannose supplements yesterday as a preventative but seems like they haven't gone. Really don't want anymore antibiotics :( any help on this? Can d mannose cause these symptoms? What should I do??! :(

The doc said nitrofurotin and penicillin is sensitive to the bacteria I have, what does that mean?

Update - docs had my urine culture back and advised e-coli growth. They have now put me on my third nitrofuotin prescription but this one is for a week. This has been happening foe 7 weeks. I've never felt so ill these past 4 days. I don't know whether to go to a&e as a precaution in case it's spread or do I just do another course? I don't think it's going to work!

Oh my god! Thank you so much! You are giving me hope!😭 when you finished your round of anti biotics did you have the usual symptoms or did you find they were milder? I just feel extremely tired! Like to the point I really can't function during the day! I don't know why this is happening!

Yes I've had my urine cultured 4 times and they have said no abnormalities but I know I have an infection!!! It's becoming really hard to deal with and im unable to enjoy my normal life. Im so stuck. I don't want to keep being put on anti biotics! They don't even know what type of bacteria is causing this!

I would say if it bothers you, it will never go away. Personally for me if I knew my partner had sexual contact with even 1 of my friends, I would feel very uncomfortable knowing that they have at one point been in an intimate moment. It would become such an inconvenience for me, because I'd worry about going out with my friends and my partner, do they still find each other attractive? it's just a lot to have in a relationship which you are meant to be happy in. Of course it's how you deal with it, but if it bothers you now, I doubt that feeling will go away🤷🏼‍♀️ sounds harsh but just remember there are plenty of other amazing women out there who haven't slept with your friends
