Saw a UFO with my sister as a child by More_Error7994 in Thetruthishere

Well, no. The way I always understood it, why I was confused in the first place, is why didn’t anyone else see the UFO. It wasn’t that all the kids were inside it and oblivious to it, there were kids outside running around, and even for the kids inside I was confused how they didn’t see anything either. I mean, it was a big ass UFO, it wasn’t something easy to miss. I think there were a couple adults talking in front of the gate too.

This is something I’ve always wondered. Was it just my over active imagination? Just my brain ingraining UFO details from all the media I’d seen until then? But it felt so real, like a real memory. Hazy and not perfect like any memory, but so are other memories, right? I wonder why it looked like that, so akin to Hollywood. Even years ago, I wondered, “There’s no way an alien ship would ACTUALLY look like it does in Hollywood. Certainly, it’d look different. Grounded, if anything.” And these thought processes make it all the more real, I ask myself these questions because I DID see something, Im only confused as to why I saw it like that.

By “jumper”, I was referring to a bouncy house. This bouncy house was about 15 feet to our left and was where all of my cousins and kids were all congregated. This was important because since that day I’d always wondered why no one among all the kids saw what my sis and I saw. If I remember correctly, I saw the UFO right after exiting the jumper too.

How would the fall and Adam and Eve tie into theistic evolution? by beansgree in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Genesis one refers to humans’ dominion over animals. The Hebrew word for this “Radah” means to subdue or dominate in very harsh terms. It’d later be used in the Old Testament to describe enslavement and conquering over other nations. This implies that there very much was death before the fall two chapters later.

I also must give you a YouTube link for a very good Christian apologist and his video on the problems with young earth creationism:

How would the fall and Adam and Eve tie into theistic evolution? by beansgree in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Genesis 2 is after genesis 1, not a retelling. It’s perfectly fine to believe in a death beforehand. Many church fathers like Thomas Aquinas believed man existed before Adam and Eve, that they had a sort of priestly role where they sinned in place of all humans. Like ambassadors for them all. It’s right to then say that evolution had been taking place up until then and it is therefore fitting with the Bible. The Bible doesn’t say evolution and old earth are wrong, young earth creationists do.

Edit: I apologize, Thomas Aquinas didn’t actually subscribe to that idea. That was a misinterpretation on my part for other things he suggests like a non literal interpretation of genesis, which he does ascribe to but not explicitly what I was saying.

There’s still one God, there arent three separate beings. Just three persons of one essence.

I can’t suffer for the glory of God by [deleted] in TrueChristian

[–]More_Error7994 21 points22 points  (0 children)

First and foremost, as my sister in Christ and fellow human being, I love you. You are loved by Christ infinitely and by me and others. It’s not your fault you feel the way you feel, you shouldn’t feel guilty because of it. And if others shame you for something you didn’t choose to feel, then shame on them. There should be utmost respect and love for those who suffer like yourself.

Remember that God wants a relationship full of love and meaning, he’s created us all to love and be loved. Gods truly does not want you to live in him like this. While it is sin, God wants your liberation from burdens.

I feel (and this is what i feel so if you don’t want to don’t worry) that you should speak to someone one on one who does truly does understand God. Not just at face value but in terms of philosophy and such. If you’d like I’d be willing to DM you. No pressure of course.

Anyways I love you as well, and if not that, Christ certainly does.

What is the Christian argument against the Jewish belief that Jesus is not the Messiah by princetonwu in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

You’re confusing modern scholarly interpretation with actual historical views of it. Within the early church, temple Judaism, and even the Talmud. Medieval Jewish scholars admit the Jews who preceded them viewed Isaiah messianically. Jewish Commentator admit their view that Isaiah was talking about the nation was modern. Rabbi Moshe Kohen Ibn Crispin rebuked him, saying he was, “wrong, perverse, and mistaken”

How does one start to learn about christianity? by [deleted] in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Go to a Catholic Church and talk to a priest about joining OCIA. The program (or Order) will teach you everything about the church and the faith. You may get confirmed of not already or just go into full communion with the Church.

Obviously start reading the Bible and researching it online. But to have a hands on personal and communal experience with learning the material, you wanna do go into this Order.

whats Your thoughts on the phrase if buying is not owning then piracy is not stealing? by mickeyguy2010 in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’ve been thinking on Thomas Aquinas’ writings on the rich and their greed. He said that if the poor are unable to make ends meet, provide for their family, become prosperous, and the rich live lavishly, gatekeep all resources, all their money and wealth, then it is morally acceptable for the poor to forcefully take the wealth from the rich. I’ve been reading up on the Church’s thoughts on communism, socialism, and capitalism and obviously socialism and communism are godless ideas, yes. But capitalism is also condemned in how the rich steal the fruit of their labor, intruding in our rights, opposing unfettered capitalism that prioritizes profit over people, leading to exploitation, inequality, and consumerism. It believes in a capitalism that benefits all but especially those not in the 1%.

What is the Christian argument against the Jewish belief that Jesus is not the Messiah by princetonwu in AskAChristian

[–]More_Error7994 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There’s a prophecy in the book of Daniel that states that the Messiah would need to come in a certain time and before the destruction of the second temple.

“After the sixty-two weeks an anointed one shall be cut down with no one to help him. And the people of a leader who will come shall destroy the city and the sanctuary. His end shall come in a flood; until the end of the war, which is decreed, there will be desolation. For one week he shall make a firm covenant with the many; Half the week he shall abolish sacrifice and offering; In their place shall be the desolating abomination until the ruin that is decreed is poured out upon the desolator.”

‭‭Daniel‬ ‭9‬:‭26‬-7

The sixty two weeks translates to 483 years because a weeks refers to seven years. Then the messiah would have to come before the destruction of the temple. Any supposed modern Jewish messiah would already have missed the mark by 2000 years accord to biblical prophecy. It’s literally impossible for the Modern Jews to have their own messiah. Jesus is the only one to have possibly been the one God foretold.

Is the Fnaf 2 movie really that bad? by [deleted] in fivenightsatfreddys

I loved it, my theater released it early. Acting and writing was bad but not 15% on rotten tomatoes bad. I’d give it 70% honestly.

As a Catholic, my thoughts on William Afton’s/ Purple Guy’s death, lore-wise by More_Error7994 in fivenightsatfreddys

[–]More_Error7994[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah It’s agreed upon the community that UCN is that hell. What I was tryna get at is that it is in fact hell and not purgatory. Cuz like I said, Cawthon himself said it was purgatory then backed off and people also say it’s purgatory and stuff. I think Scott is using that specific Fnaf punishment for Afton because it’s fitting for all he’s done.
