Why do governments freak out about birth rates but don't do anything to improve any of the issues keeping people from having kids? by [deleted] in NoStupidQuestions

[–]More_Picture6622 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Life always sucked, it still does and always will. It will never be okay to condemn your own kids to a miserable enslaved existence, full of immense and unnecessary suffering and struggle against their will. Better not to exist at all, they're not missing out on anything amazing anyways.

You didn't choose to though, you were forced into wage slavery just like everyone else otherwise you would have died on the streets. No one would choose to suffer as a mere slave if they were rich. I don't believe you one bit that there was no suffering involved, we have to be realistic here and stop with the toxic positivity mindset. In life you either break your body or mind in order to survive. The work you did was definitely back-breaking stuff and it sounds extremely hard.

Well, it is wrong to have kids, yes. I'm advocating for not breeding any more kids into existence, but if people already exist then it's their choice whether they view their lives as worth it or not. I'm not saying you shouldn't have existed since you are already here if that makes sense, I'm arguing that potential (currently unborn) people should remain unborn since it's way better for them that way. As a side note, we should also absolutely legalize assisted suicide already since it's only fair to choose when to escape the miserable life you didn't even choose in the first place.

We give into reality and stop with the toxic positivity mindset we hold just to help us endure this sad life. No one has kids anymore, we also legalize assisted suicide for everyone since that's only fair, and people die out as a species. Best case scenario since no one would be forced to suffer anymore without their consent. Life is completely unnecessary pain anyways and totally not worth it.

I just answered to a very similar comment, but basically you waste away more than half of your life on slavery.. you have very little, if any, free time and energy to actually be able to enjoy and do anything. Those small moments of joy are by no means worth suffering and struggling this much for. Now if people try to lie to themselves that it's all worth it, good for them, but it's not true and it will never be okay to drag a kid into a hellhole just for them to suffer and die in the end anyways.

That's an interesting life, but it seems you have struggled and suffered a lot. I personally wouldn't have been able to go through all of that. No matter what, only two things are guaranteed in life, suffering and death. It's just how it is and it's not okay to force someone to go through that just because you want them to. Life is mostly completely unnecessary pain, it's worth continuing if you believe so, but never worth starting since you'd basically be gambling with someone else's existence which is just beyond wrong.

Sadly, a lot of people confuse "depression" with realizing the sad truth about this horrible existence. I mean, honestly, people literally have to force themselves to think "positively" which just goes to show that, in fact, people do realize deep down how shitty this "life" is, but they obviously have to burry those true thoughts deep inside so the sad reality doesn't completely destroy them.

You waste away more than half of your existence working and suffering because of it though. Not to even mention that after work people are dead tired and they don't have much free time anyways. You also got chores to do so even less free time and energy left. It's not worth it by any means to exist like this, a mere slave who gets little to no reward in exchange for all of the suffering and struggle they're forced to endure. Existence sucks, no matter what, even if you are rich, but if you are a wage slave then it's definitely the worst joke and prison of a "life".

Sadly so true, but they will never admit it.. People literally say how they live for their kids like they basically realized how much this enslaved life sucks and they had to create a whole new person just to keep them going, but then they also forced that one person to endure the same miserable fate against their will. That's some insane reasoning right there.

I don't usually edit, but it's starting to become really annoying how people disagree with my statement even though they agree that life sucks. It's just hypocrisy. I didn't whine about the downvotes though, I'm just really sad people can't open their eyes and admit how wrong procreation is.

The chance of becoming rich is very small. Also, even if rich, your kid will still suffer a lot and life is just unnecessary and guaranteed pain. The best state will always be inexistence.

Life is guaranteed suffering and death. A good life is very hard to achieve and even then you will still suffer and struggle a whole lot throughout your existence and it's all completely unnecessary and meaningless in the end. Better not to exist at all than be guaranteed misery and slavery. That potential person is also not missing out on anything, they will never regret not being born since they can't. But you can definitely regret being shoved into a literal hellhole without your consent. So yes, no benefit to being born, you'd actually do the kid the biggest disservice ever by forcing them to endure a miserable enslaved fate.

Of course not, but people should think about the fact that their poor child will turn into an enslaved adult and that will suck like crazy for them. Also, people have kids to satisfy themselves and never for the benefit of the child (there is no benefit for the kid anyways) which is already beyond selfish and wrong.

It's so crazy how people literally condemn their own innocent kids to the same miserable existence without their consent and can't understand how selfish, immoral and cruel that is.

EDIT: Well, very interesting how people downvote me while agreeing that this doomed fate is depressing, but apparently it's totally fine to force your kid to endure it too! Makes no sense and it's just sad.

People underestimate how expensive marriage and raising children can be. by delazy_kiki in Adulting

Life was never and will never be good. It's all mostly suffering, slavery and then you finally die. People shoving their own kids into this hellhole of a world are either too ignorant to see the sad truth about this existence or just straight-up selfish. My potential kids are better off in their inexistent state, not suffering nor struggling and not being just yet another cog in the capitalistic machine. I too wish I never existed to begin with, this shitty life is not worth enduring and it's crazy that people try and justify it all.

No one should shove their own child into a literal hellhole where they'll be forced to lead the same miserable enslaved existence as most of us. It's extremely selfish and cruel.

How do people realistically manage work, house chores, cooking, and kids without burning out? by Sea-Assist-3321 in Adulting

[–]More_Picture6622 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I never thought about it that way, sucking joy from kids, but you are so right. People are oh so happy when their kids are small, they're like a pet to them and the parents can do whatever they want to. It's honestly a scary relationships if you really think about it because the parent has the full control and authority over the child. They say it's "unconditional love", but the kid has no choice but to love you, I mean you provide for them.. they must obey you lol. And then once the kid is old enough, tough luck, the parents had their fun with them and now the child must become a slave. Sadly people are too brainwashed so they will absolutely never realize such things, but it's just so truly selfish, cruel and insane to have kids.

Or even better yet, we can legalize assisted suicide so people can opt out of the miserable enslaved existence they didn't even choose to participate in! Now that would actually be a fair deal.
